Spin out last night. How do I check for damage?

Last night I took a turn a bit too hard (with traction off) and pulled a 180. It was en empty two lane road so I only made contact with a gravel shoulder. I was only doing 35 (a sharp turn) but it was enough to give a scare and promt me to sign up for a driving class. I did a walk around and see no viable damage, and after the morning commute the alignment seems fine, also no CELs. I'm still concerned I could have damaged something, I don't think I did, but not sure what to check. Btw this is my first post. Thanks

Unless your car actually hit something you shouldnt worry about it
A little spin wont damage anything but your confidence in your driving skills haha

I suggest you leave the nannies ON ...... unless you are on a track ..... or in an empty cow pasture.....

Like Armin93 says ..... if you didn't hit anything (except the gravel) your car should be just fine.

Yep, it's a good idea to learn where the limits of the car are.

Thanks for the replies. There was only gravel that graded sightly below the road, next to that grass. I have some grass inside the car (windows were down) but everything seems okay. Will certainly be prudent and leave the trac on. Thanks!
@8RZ don't notice anything. Alignment is fine, no trouble with gears. I'm just hyper sensitive to everything now that it happened

Reminds me of back-in-the-day, when I was racing a 1950 Mercury in my 1948 Chevrolet ..... ya ya, I know, not too smart, kind of like an FR-S racing a Mustang .....)

It was at night and I was in the lead, but I knew as soon as we reached the straights ..... he would pass me. So, as we headed for this jog in the road and crossing a one lane bridge, I stomped on it to gain some distance.

As I flew across the bridge, the road took a sharp turn to the left ...... yep, I went more or less straight ..... down along this ditch, sitting on my GF's lap, steering with my left hand.

What was the lesson learned? I needed some seat belts, so my Uncle got me some out of an old airplane and I installed them in my car.

I learned it the hard way on my old 3 Generation Supra too spun out 180 degrees in the light rain and car had no trac control. Luckily there were no other cars on road that night

Good call with the driving class. It'll be fun.

I don't know how old you are but try to not let it rattle you. This little thing's pretty tough.

Even with my new seat belts on ....... I still couldn't beat that Mercury on the straights .......

Happens with FWD too.

I had a close call a few years ago in the middle of the Arizona desert (89A) in my Celica GT-S.

Swerved to "avoid a coyote" (my official story to friends, actually I dropped cigar ash into my lap), caught the front right tire on the edge of the road, over-corrected and promptly found myself going backwards at 80 MPH in the opposing lane.

Mowed across about 25 yards of sagebrush (still backward), stopped with the car buried to the axles in soft, red sand. Soft, red sand, that promptly entered the open sunroof in a veritable tsunami. I stepped out of the car looking like Arnold in Predator in the mud bank.

And eight feet more would have put me down a 10-12 foot deep arroyo.

I had two tires, both on the passenger side, slowly deflating because while the car was slewing around, pebbles and sticks got trapped into the beads- the tires were almost pulled off the wheels.

A kind cattle trucker stopped and helped me dig out, and pushed while I goosed it out of the sand.

With the air slowly leaving the two tires, I barely made it to Page, AZ, where I had all four tires remounted at a tire shop.

Other than still finding red sand in places to this day, no damage to the car at all. No alignment issues, nothing. It's my winter beater now.
