Clutch pedal feels super light

I just bought a 2015 FRS with 5900 miles. It's the only 86 I've driven until today. I drove a 2013 BRZ with about 30k on it. The clutch felt really hard and caught near the top on the pedal. My pedal is extremely light and catches down low. I had him drive my car and one other guy feel it. They both said the pedal feels extremely light and slips a bit.

Do you think I should be concerned? Could I get this replaced under warranty?

Does it change at all as the fluids warm up?

How high does the clutch pedal sit? If even with or slightly lower than the brake pedal, It's possible the previous owner did the clutch height mod.

Make sure your clutch fluid reservoir is full and then bleed the clutch. It's similar to the brakes and requires two people.

No change with fluid temps. The pedal height is the same as it was in the brz I drove. The pedal has almost no resistance.

By slip I mean that upon shifting it doesn't bite like I would expect it to.

Just sounds like your clutch is toast. It's super light because there's nothing left of the disk so the pressure plate is unloaded.

Did you check clutch fluid reservoir yet? Seriously, if you got air in the line it would feel the same. Take it in, but I'd have them bleed the system before replacing the clutch. 5900 miles is really low for a clutch to go out. Was it used when you bought it?

OP would not get slippage if it was only air in the line. Those 2 corresponding symptoms point directly to clutch.

OP, when they figure out what's wrong, please post back here with an update so that we all know what the cause was.

Haha, I'm more curious if my initial feeling was correct than anything and young posters have a habit of never reporting back once the issue is solved. I don't doubt that it could be the clutch, but a clutch failure at 5900 miles may be the bigger surprise here. Anyways, you're on! I'll give you 10 internets if the problem is the actual clutch plate (or anything internal to the trans) and if it's not related to the master/slave.

My guess is the clutch. Even though it only has <6000 miles, who knows how the original owner drove it.
