30 more hp, on a conservative tune. Wonder how much can be squeezed with some tweaks

But wait, this can't be right. I just read on here that the only good header out there was the $1400 ACE? Everything else was crap with torque dips.

You mean 19% peak gain? From header, overpipe, high flow catted FP and the most aggressive OTS tune to date designed primarily around UEL headers. (Meaning probably some optimization could be had for his specific setup, but doubt very much peak numbers to be gained)

Also not sure I have ever read or heard any say every header was crap in the torque dip.

Nah I mean't peak gain as in maximum % gain (top end). Was surprised at how much top end was gained as usually the max % gains are in the torque dip. Pretty darned impressive for <$700 headers + non-optimized tune. OP & FP might make a little difference, but it's mostly the header.

Also a little tongue-in-cheek with my prior comment, sorry gents, couldn't resist prodding the ACEophiles a little. I'll stop now

Yes header + tune makes most diff, but the op and high flow cat FP do add up and help. And v4 tunes are pretty aggressive and optimized for a ots tune especially for UEL headers
Did you overlay the two dynos to see the difference easier?

That torque curve looks like it’s a smooth power delivery. Prob nice for DD.
My ACE 250 feels like lift or vtech kicking in at 5k rpm.

And tomei is 675+ 280 for op so 955$ if you are going to be genuine in the ace comparison.

And even cheaper but still great: Gruppe-S UEL $475+ $75 overpipe = $550
Nothing touches that for bang for the buck.
95% of the performance for 1/3 of the price. Please and thank you.

Also +1 for doing a ecutek comparison.

i have a custom oft tune, but have been thinking about getting a custom dyno ecutek tune.

with NA cars their no real magic with ecutek. Unless you want extra features like map switching or better ls/ffs/auto blip. you can do all the required changes with opensource.

If your going FI and want boost control and extra safety features for higher boost levels then ecutek is the go for sure

I updated the original post with the digital dyno picture (instead of the scanned print out).

And I added a overlay for a comparison.

Nice, I'm curious how the stock front pipe would effect these numbers, I'm currently on E85 and my exhaust is stock except for the catless uel and the nameless axleback...

Those are already impressive gains on pump gas. I wouldn't expect too much more from e85 as you're almost bumping against ve already.
