Which tire would you run

So I have my last HPDE on Friday and the weather isn't looking so great. Basically low of 55 high of 66 with rain all day.

I have two sets 245/40/17's... So would you run Hankook RS4's that have about 60% life left OR Pilot Sport AS4's that are nearly brand new?

What track? Will depend heavily if you expect puddles/running water or just damp pavement, for the latter the Hankooks should be ok (which, I know they don't have a great reputation for wet handling but I'd rather slide around on those then get frustrated with the Michelin AS tires and potentially overworking them).

Are you going to FATT at Summit Point? The weather forecast today started to look better.

Yeah I’m doing FATT on Friday at Summit. Still looks pretty rainy at 67% chance unless I’m missing something. Still hoping for dry but oh well.

Are you going to be out there?

I will be. The hourly forecast has the rain stopping by 0700. I am clinging to that and staying hopeful.

Awesome. I’m in the dark grey 86 and I have family member that will be there too in a dark grey BRZ. What color is your FR-S? Feel free to swing on by and say hi.
