Congrats on the 1LE.. Those are hard to come by... Best way to go with a Camaro!
I certainly understand the V8 power addiction.. It runs deep..

As far as a comparison goes it's kind of comparing apples to oranges. The Camaro is huge in comparison both in size and weight, but with the 1LE package drives a lot smaller than it is. I'll probably be doing quite a few track events and autocrossing with it.

I loved the FRS but was never really happy with the car for autocross. My driving style probably had a lot to do with it. I've always been much more successfull driving higher powered cars that pull hard out of a corner. Guess I'm more of a point and shoot driver compared to a momentum one.

That's what I love about these cars. No respect. When I raced my 02 Z28 at Porsche, and BMW events, most of the drivers were always laughing at the car under their breath. It looked like a 6 cylinder secretary's car (with 450 RWHP and full suspension setup).

At the the end of the day most of them weren't laughing anymore and were crawling all over the car, as they had just gotten their ass handed to them by a mulletmobile.

Put on the plate frame from my 02. The Mulletmobile.

Love the new Camaro's. Wish we could get them here in Aus (We can but they're stupidly overpriced to the point where it's cheaper to buy a Porsche Cayman).

Rented one last time I was in LA. Loved it.

Nice car. Try, drive and enjoy as many as you can. As I've said many times; so many cars, so little time.

Congrats on the purchase.

I couldn't get myself to pull the trigger on a Camaro during my shopping days, as much as I sometimes wanted to. They're great muscle cars.

Enjoy!

I am going back to my roots. Missed the torque and power too much.
Correct choice. That is what I think. You drive in the US, you need passing power. You just don't drift in the corners. The only transportation you can legally drift every corner is a bicycle. Congrats

Great car. I had every intention of buying a Camaro when they were first brought back. I was just disappointed that they made them so big. I like smaller cars but my brother has a 13 ZL1 and I must admit they do not feel that big when you are attacking the curves in them. And the POWER is awesome. Congratz on your ILE. It is a beauty.

I'm a 302 fan myself. Grandpa had a 2012 302 for about 6 months. Got to take it to a track in Florida. Soooo much fun. Then he went to a gt500. Not nearly as much fun to corner. Took him a year to go back to porches. Wish I had the money he does lol. I love my FRS none the less but a TQ bump would be nice.

Why are you still here, since you clearly disagree with the entire premise of the 86/FR-S/BRZ so much? Nearly every post you make is critical of the car, complaining about the power, praising high-horsepower cars, etc. We get it - you like cars that are fast in a straight line. I just don't get why you stay here, instead of going over to the SRT Challenger forums, or something like that.

As for the OP: Gorgeous Camaro. I love how they look (and that red is awesome), and by all accounts, the LE is the one I'd want to have. Well balanced handling, plenty of power, and pretty reasonably priced too (though I don't want to know what the tires cost...). I'd love to drive one someone if I get the chance. Enjoy your fun new ride
