How much? Doesn't look like fun time team building to me.

Started watching The Expanse last weekend because I was out of non-baseball game stuff to watch. Just finished the second season tonight. First season was a little slow but not terrible.
I'd say so far the show has been a solid 7/10. Not the best writing in the world but pretty watchable.

Finally got around to watching :Justice League: The Snyder Cut". It was better than the original but had it's own issues.
I hated the 4:3 format, which apparently how the original version was intended to be framed. It was about an hour too long. There was a lot of "filler" that should have been left on the cutting room floor. Like all recent superhero movies there was WAY too much CGI and some of it not very good (looking at you "The Flash"). One of the main reasons I enjoyed the first Marvel movies (Iron Man, etc) was because they took place as "extraordinary heroes in the real world". Like most DC movies (and yes I know this is sort of canon especially for Batman) it was way too dark. Not the tone but the actual sets. Can't some things happen in day light? There was way too much Wonder Woman posing. Not that I mind looking at Gal, but seriously, every fight move has to end with a snarky extended leg pose? Overall though, I enjoyed it,

Yeah I could see how it would do that. Couple other people told me the same thing. Unfortunately the pacing gets way better basically from the end of the first season and through the second.

the last season ends really fast, though it also felt drawn out by then at the same time.

Saw this movie several times starting as a kid. Watched it again. Classic and charming 80's film. Actress Amanda Petersen was talented and strikingly beautiful. Sadly drugs took her away. She was a Greeley, Colorado native. |

watched "avatar, the way of the water" last night.
somehow, i expected something more than the original avatar. i'm realizing that james cameron is spectacular at the big-picture stuff, but tends to gloss over the scripting details that make a visually-stunning movie memorable. this was the same formula, just a few different cast members in a different location. absolutely amazing cinematography. but horrible script/screenwriting that leaves more questions than answers. the day after, i can barely remember anything memorable about the entire movie, other than the video looked really good...

The trailer, which I saw in theater and then again on a 77" 4K OLED just put me off. It looked like a cut scene in a last gen video game to me.

Oh great... We have the first one on standard BlueRay, (not 3D) and I heard that the second one wasn't worth the price. However, the wife hadn't heard that. She came home with a copy all excited so, I have that to look forward to.
