GR86 Car Audio Systen
The audio in my car seems kinda direct if that makes sense. I noticed that when my friend connected his iPhone to my car (carplay) sounded wayyy better. Is his phone better ? Can I reset my sound system? Is his Spotify Different? Is there something in setting? The audio coming out of Spotify on his phone has way more surround sound and sounds cleaner than my own iPhone. Any fixes?

I dont use spotify because its absolute trash, but it does have options for the buffering quality while streaming through cellular data. So thats probably why his spotify would sound better than yours, you need to disable the lowered quality on cellular data
However its still a completely garbage service. If you care about sound quality spend the ten bucks a month on apple music. It sounds better than spot/youtube/amazon and the cataloging and lyrics are much much more accurate |

To be clear - you are both listening to Spotify, using the same song, with both phones connected through carplay? And the audio quality is perceptibly different?
Unless you’re using spotify free and he has spotify premium, or your bitrate is turned down in the spotify settings for some reason, that doesn’t make any sense. |

Which iPhone model do you have and your friend has? The sound might be going through different Bluetooth profiles.
