uggh, i came online solely to search for "scraped wheels" and this thread came up. perfect timing. I scraped the rear wheel on a curb just now.

Is there anything that can be done to "fix" it, whatever that would be? My wheels are stock. I like them, plan on keeping them forever. Serious suggestions only please....

there are wheel refinishing companies all over the place that might be able to do something, but you'd need to contact one of them to get an estimate for how much it would cost to get refinished..

[QUOTE=JonAvalon;1702042]This happened to me as well, the damn curb on the ATM went longer than I expected and when I was pulling out I didn't realize how much of it was left since I was in a hurry.

Funny you should ask as I hit mine today for the 1st time after going through the bank drive in teller. Had to get close to put deposit of check for $11.14 into tube and curb went long. 1inch rash. Darn, can't even blame the wife and it was not worth the deposit.

I was looking at another guys FR-S in a wendy's drive thru, took the corner and caught the curb. Took a small deep gash out of the drivers front, and then a 8" scrape to the metal on the rocker. I was so upset I just drive straight home thinking everyone was looking at my brand new car with this "I'M AN IDIOT" gash on the side. Luckily it wasn't as bad as I thought, and its under the rocker so not noticeable really. still.. resale value

3 instances of curb rash on mine (Work Emotion Kiwami's)... All have happened while hungover

It bothered me a bit immediately after but in the grand scheme I don't really care, it's gonna happen. I'd rather have some curb rash than be that anal guy that parks/drives like a grandma because of his wheels.

so the other day i accidentally turned a little too sharp at a corner and caught the rear wheel on the curb.. my last car ran wider rubber, so it was never a problem(did the same thing a couple of times, but the wheels never got scratched), but with the stretched rubber on this car, it got the rim...

but luckily, it was just the top of the wheel ;P
