Interesting. All Subaru users have hated those adapters, but maybe these cars lean closer to a Toyota pattern.

Those adapters that CF sends are useless in Subaru (non-BRZ) applications.

I measured them up the top 2 are 7 5/8" apart with the bottom one being 8 1/8" from the top 2. From the bottom of the speaker mounting plate the stock one is 1 1/16" high then some foam. Theres more room than that to work with though. Using those CF brackets I was able to mount some Infinity Kappa components on top with some space. I don't have a mm tape measure laying around or I'd check it that way. What I measured should be really close though.

Thank you for the measurements.

Reconciling the posts below, I got confused.

I have the adapters in your first quote from ordering them for my WRX. They did not fit the WRX but I held onto them. I measured them and I get 5 15/16" to 6 3/4" (depending on which location on the elongated holes that you use) for the distance between the "close" holes, and a distance of 6 7/16" to 7 3/8" between those holes and the 3rd hole.

If you measured 7 5/8" and 8 1/8", respectively, the adapter in your first link would not have worked. Those measurements are off of the plastic.

Also, in looking at your picture and using the measuring tape over the speaker, it looks like the "close" holes are closer to 6.5" apart. Due to the angle of the picture, I can't tell about the 3rd hole.

Could you possibly re-measure the speaker and report back findings?

Thanks!

doh lol . I know what I did. subtract an inch from what I got. i was starting at 1inch instead of the clip on the end of the tape. Those brackets i used worked I didn't have to cut them at all to get it to work.

Based on the pictures and measurements above, I was able to fabricate these templates for adapters:

I made some PVC adapters (3/4" for the doors and 1/4" for the dash in which you could mount component tweeters). Two sets already went out for beta testing.

Thanks so much for the pics of the dash speakers. I'd love to see a pic of the 'hole' left after you pull the 3.5" speaker out of the dash......is there a cavity? does it vent to the inside of the dash?

Did anyone ever measure the depth behind the rear side panels? I'm contemplating putting an 8" sub on either side when I get my car back.

The Dash speakers are 3.5" with about 2" depth
The Doors are 6.5" With 2" of depth. Anymore it will probably hit the window.
The Rear are 3.5 as well but the depth is more than enough.

Thanks for the pics and measurements. Looks like I'll be reusing the pioneer 6.5 speakers i have sitting in my garage. As long as they fit.
