Well… don’t think we’ll see performance hydrogen sports car on production for a while… but it’s good time to invest in the hydrogen stock

i don't have the official offer yet, but i get the impression it's next on the checklist after the physical testing. i'm not counting this one in the bag until after i get that offer, but the steps they're taking make sense to me at least to proceed to that step.

currently at 1 interview/shop walkthrough(also involved a basic owned-tool checklist, and a pictoral 'name that tool' sheet to make sure i had some technical experience), they had performed a basic background check, then they specifically needed a statement from me stating that i was still interested (got the distinct impression they've been burned by people thinking it was something other than a mechanical/laborer position), to which they said they'd doing a federal background check to make sure i haven't burned down any villages.

next step is getting drug, physical, and agility tests to make sure i'm not on drugs, or physically broken. but they were very specific that if i wasn't interested, they didn't want to start the testing, or the federal background checks because it all costs extra money, (phrasing used indicated they were tired of being burned-- they asked a few different times if i'd be willing to submit to, and could pass a drug test).

they contacted me to set up the testing, so i assume i've passed the federal background check--it wouldn't make sense for them to run that after the physical testing.

they pulled the position on indeed shortly after they contacted me and haven't reposted, so i get the impression they're either optimistic, or have all the candidates they need for the role.

Thanks for the update. Its always a bit of an eyeroll for me on all the hoops that one has to jump through during this process, especially the drug test BS. Just in my opinion, of course.

Anyway, I'm interested to hear how this proceeds. Like you said in your earlier post, there's some negative attributes about this gig compared to your current position.

However, at the end of the day, you need to get along with your boss and your coworkers. That pretty much outweighs many other attributes of a job such as the commute, the salary, etc.

Your mental health comes first.

As much as I'm Team Hydrogen, I just don't see it happening at this point. As mentioned in the video, there is nothing driving the infrastructure for it, and it doesn't have the advantage of home charging as a commuter.

I do think Hydrogen makes a lot of sense for long-haul trucking and aircraft. If someone would focus on that first, and putting the infrastructure in to for it (which would be profitable) it could lead to it being viable downstream.

If you get kerosene not enough for long enough, might be possible.

I didn't hear about that, but I did hear about how streetlights are tracking your thoughts, submarine tunnels across the continental US, the global kabal of 13 Satan-worshipping illuminati royal families that are trying to bring about the apocalypse, it was actually the Titanic's sister ship that sunk and it was done on purpose, and something about the Mormon temple in SLC being there already when the Mormons arrived because until 250 years ago Russia, Canada, and the US were all the same giant country.
