Some questions before buying an Frs

Hey guy I been following these forums for a bit, but never had an account until now since I'm finally in the market for an frs. I have a few questions regarding what I should look for and what to expect when purchasing one of these cars. I'm especially interested in the Yuzu yellow Release Series 1.0 from 2015. As all of you know those were limited production and don't come around as often. I test drove one the other day and completely fell in love, however someone beat me to the purchase. So here are the questions I had, the only RS1.0's (with the exception of the one I test drove) I've seen are in other states. I'm not sure how car dealerships work, but would they be able to acquire a vehicle from another dealership to make a sale? I know carmax does this but the ones I've seen have not been on carmax unfortunately. Also, is there any little details I should be on the look out for before I make a final purchase? I'm somwhat clueless on the topic and just wanted to get some opinions from some of you guys that have had experience.
Thanks for the feedback in advance!

Well, jorgerendonjr, first off, welcome to ye ol forum ......

You are definitely limiting your selection by being so specific.

I doubt you will find a dealer that will transfer a used car.

If you would like a pre-owned FR-S, I'd suggest you focus on finding a nice one (of any year), which hasn't been molested too bad, with the transmission you prefer and a color you think is pretty.

If you spy one that is further away, you may consider having a local forum member go check it out for you.

Good hunting!

Welcome,
Sounds like your dead set on this pos,

That out of the way the only way a dealership would transfer cars is if they are part of a bigger company.

If you have to travel to find the car that tickles your pickle, do it. Just get a good buddy to give you a ride.

Besides that, test drive other cars besides our pos.
If you want more power, don't get it.
If you have more than 1 friend and are really social, dont get it.
If you want to make it into a track day car, don't get.
There are far better cars for that out there just full in the blank.

I've purchased a few cars from out of state dealerships. Some sight unseen. There will be some extra costs involved. 1. simple PPI .... just for peace of mind. I've purchased mostly CPO cars with intact warranty, but a PPI will provide information on the external panels, thickness of paint, interior, tires, glass, etc. etc. Nothing mechanical, but the warranty will cover those items. This PPI can be around $100-150. They will send you a very detailed report on the external items plus pics. 2. shipping 3. expenses to go and see car. Buying local is far easier and cheaper. Good luck.

The acronym "LOL" is shorthand for "laughing out loud" or "laugh out loud." LOL is commonly used in chat rooms and other text-based conversations to indicate the user found something humorous. LOL is also used less commonly to mean "lots of love" when added to the end of a conversation.

Thanks there, Tcoat, but I ain't quite THAT far behind ......

I done figured out the "LOL" thing ........ what I didn't know was the "lolololo" version (seemed to have too many "o" s in it.

But, according to @spike021, "lolololo" means "Just oodles of "lol"-ing. Usually just lots of laughing." That makes since.....more "o"s.

PS - @spike021 ....... I do wish you would change your avatar ...... it is butt ugly!

Figured you would know the laugh part but did you read the whole thing I pasted? I never knew the last part before and it changes the whole meaning of some posts. Makes them seem a bit weird actually.

LOL
