Turbo BRZ vs A90 Supra - AMA related to these cars.

I have both a GReddy Turbo BRZ on flex, as well as a A90 Supra running ethanol.

My BRZ has won several championships in various track driving disciplines, while retaining a full interior, aftermarket audio system with subs, and an exhaust volume quieter than stock.

While the Supra is still a very new platform, my Supra holds the record for the fastest 60-130 on a stock turbo without meth injection or Nitrous.

Ask me anything about either of these cars, and their ownership experience!

How much do you hate the auto?

Love the A90's though.

I don't. Cars built "for fast" will all be auto.

The only manual cars are the "driving experience" cars.

You can, but a fast manual car, all else equal, will be faster auto.

For the same reason, a 550whp A90 supra will pull on a 700whp A80 supra.

So if your BRZ was NOT turbocharged, would you rather do NA motor w header, over pipe, tune (weight savings; wheels rotors, etc) or a Harrop or Edelbrock SC set up?

I almost bought a Supra, but automatic, and the interior is a bit cramped as compared to the BRZ/86 (I have a 2020 tS). Maybe in a few years.....

I was NA with full bolt-ons before I boosted.

I'd go supercharger *WITH* the NA mods.

In a 2600lb car with only 200hp.. the manual probably helps a bit. But yeah 700hp you don't have a hope.

How hard does the supra pull on the BRZ 60-130, and what power level to make the brz pull on the supra 60-130?

A couple of questions.

1. Hypothetical:

If you had to keep one and sell one, which one would you keep? Assuming you got a refund/decent price for either car taking the $$$ value out of the equation. I guess I’m asking which is your favourite.

2. Which is the better value for money in your opinion? It sounds like you’ve put a bit of money into the BRZ. Is it worth it for the performance gains or are you better off going with a factory solution like the Supra?

Can't wait to see A90 on the street against a BRZ
Probably has to do with modern traction control, 6 useable auto gears vs 5 usable manual gears, and maybe a little aerodynamic.

Curious how a K24 swapped turbo BRZ would do... lol.
