One of my classmates committed suicide last year. Our history teacher took it really well, not mentioning too many details, and gave the friends of the kid time to recuperate.
Don't spend too much time talking about the student though. All it will do is bring more discussion and feelings to the class.

You're WAY more likely to be killed from a fall or in a car accident. Violence only begets more violence. This is also why we don't discuss firearms here.

I've always gotten the notion that the reason firearms are usually not discussed is because the community comes from many different backgrounds and are unified by the car and not by political views. Because of this, when firearms are brought up it becomes a complete shitstorm of flaming that the admin and mods would get tired of so they outright banned the discussions. But that's what I thought and not what Admin decided.

well when you find a good way to defend yourself from a fatal fall... You be sure to let me know what I should carry. Now I don't want to make a big deal about Mr Fists unfortunate situation but it did make a most convenient point to Tcoat last comment in another thread. I suppose i could have sent him a PM instead of it being public but I thought no one else would touch it. So long as he sees it I'm satisfied. This particular strain of confederation need not continue.

It was a reminder of what my father, father in law and Uncles went through, when they were young.

I found out, as I got older, a good piece of hickory, can also work as a cane .... to help prevent falls ......

Wish you worked for one of our clients who refuse to get more storage. Disks are cheap yet they won't allocate much needed funds to the IT budget. Unfortunately, that causes a shitstorm for us because when something breaks, all hell breaks loose.
