So mine looks about this bad, took it to the dealer today for my last free service and brought it up. They looked at it and then had a look at all the other FRS's on the lot and saw that they all had the same issue, so they won't do anything about it unless it gets a lot worse, I dont understand that logic but oh well, I'm kinda pissed about it, but I have an extended warranty on it so when it does get worse I can get me a new one.

I will rather fix this minor issue myself than dealer replacing whole dashboard and scratching/damaging other area of interior

Thanks to this thread I noticed that mine is doing the same.

I have always used a shade and still have this. It may be the heat and not necessarily the direct sun.

its is the heat, but I think direct sunlight speeds up the process because the dash is getting even more hot. either way, heat is going to end up destroying our dash sooner or later

Shitty. I made sure to check out all the other cars on the lot to compare them just in case the dealership argued with me. Luckily they didn't argue at all. I'd try another dealership and check out the cars on the lot first.

Mine is getting worse. Tinted windshield and sunshade here. Starting to look like this interior is sub par on long term quality.

I think the problem is this. Because the problem area is right about the vents, when you blast the AC, it makes the adhesive cold. When you turn off your car, the AC is off obviously, and the temperature change causes the adhesive to deteriorate in a sense. So, long story short, temperature fluctuation when the AC is on, and after you turn off the car and let it sit.

That part of the dash is like a we noodle once it's been sitting in the sun. I don't think AC hot/cold cycles has anything to do with it personally.

I noticed this problem when my car was in the showroom floor during delivery - it's a factory fault, reckon it's sh1thouse glue for the amount of flex/curve in that area :/

Well, I would guess that if we complain enough, they can fix the issue before it leaves the factory!

So those of you that have the issue right now, please take pictures and email them to corporate.

Well, in order for them to fix it, you have to bring it to the dealer. Looks like a lot of people are not willing to do that.
