Waze works offline no problems, I think I dislike Tomtom cos it needs 3xxmb of space for the australian maps, better to use Waze

Same amount of wires, mine are just in the center console now where the cupholders are, which takes them even further out of the way. Yours are plugged into the console below the headunit in front of the gear shifter, that's more in the way.

I use stock speakers, but with a 100-watt powered sub in the trunk, sounds decent. Not gonna win any awards, but it's good enough for me.

Ca-Fi is the only vendor, unfortunately.

If you have an iPhone 5 or 5S, you need Apple's $30 adapter (30 pin dock to Lightning) to listen to music with your phone plugged in. It also does a pretty long indexing procedure when you plug it in. Bluetooth is way easier/cheaper.

There is no way to wire it to work with the oem USB connectors? I don't like to use Bluetooth becuase of the decrease in audio quality...

Part of owning Apple devices is that you're willing to sacrifice compatibility with way too many industry standards, such as USB connectivity to your stereo.

Some results I'd like to contribute:
Freezing car home completely(including using the car home button disabled update) requires you run radio app before going to sleep in order to wake-up properly instead of cold boot.
To work around this leave car home unfrozen and install home 2 shortcut from play store.
Assign home button to the launcher of your choice via home 2 shortcut.

I'm running the no-CarHome update firmware on mine, and I have not had this problem.

Hi DriftEm.

Did you have any luck getting this to work? I'm having the same problem.
Cheers.

No, not working. I'm waiting for DashCommand to update so my USB would work with it. Torque is not interested in fixing this issue.

I'm using Dashcommand and Torque with the OBD Link SX adapter without problems.
Maybe you could try the ODBLink app first to see whether its working?

Torque needs some special settings. I can have a look later.
Dashcommand did work out of the box.

I tried ODBlink and it worked fine. No luck with either Torque or Dash Command.
If you have some setting that we could try it would be awesome.
Thanks.
