Thinking about pouring myself a glass to get myself through hump day. Just one of those days when you realize you work with idiots in the office..

I am in California I can get it under that price at K&L or Costco, I'm saying that's a little too much for me right now...

Anyone had Ardmore? I've been hunting for a caramel/toffee single malt. Grant's Family Reserve has that taste, but it lacks body when it hits the tongue. Good finish, good nose though.

Ever try Glenmorangie? I've only had the 10 and 18 but I hear the "Lasanta" has a good caramel/honey character. I was going to grab a bottle next time I was at duty free.

I've tried the Nectar d'Or, and it was pretty good (very sweet, but I kind of expected that). I'll have to try the Lasanta sometime though. I considered picking up a bottle yesterday, but I decided to go with one of my old standards instead (a Highland Park 12).

Nah but my friend said he'd bring a bottle of glenmorangie quinta ruban in a few weeks, pretty excited. I'm going to go to Costco after my tires are replaced today to get some whisky, so pumped.

Yes but that still didn't stop someone from making a whole other thread about Bourbon...which is also the same thing.

Not exactly the same thing... Whiskey or Whisky covers them all... but Scotch is entirely different from Irish from Bourbon from Canadian, etc... Set, subset.

One could like "whisky" but dislike scotch. I have yet to find a bourbon I really like (just not my thing, apparently), but I certainly like other types of whisky.
