I been running ARC-8 17x9 +42mm with v730 245/40r17 in the rear with zero issues (roughly 6hrs of track time, 1 set). Using natural camber of the stock rlca. Doesn't matter if 15mm drop or 30mm drop.

The 949 17x9 +48mm wheels with v730 255/40r17 also zero issues using the same natural camber of the rlca. That I did about 20+ hours (3 set) on so far.

At some point I will be getting a set of 245/40r17 Re71RS and my gut feeling tells me that I will need to run the 949s in the rear to clear.

For those looking for 18s, 18x8.5 +40 with 245/35/18 tires (MP4S) with coilovers+camber plates and a 5mm spacer up front is essentially a perfect fitment

Got any good pics? I've already got all my suspension stuff here. Just trying to decide what wheel/tire setup to go with. And what catback.

And of course for my '23 to actually show up.

I've heard 235/40R17 SX2's are rare? You might not be able to easily find them in the future.

While at it, can you take more pics of how the sidewall of the 235 SX2's sit on 17x9 wheels, relative to the face of the wheel?

For comparison, here's a 225/45R17 on 17x9 +37 in the front:

You may notice that I took a photo in such a way that the sidewall in front of the wheel is hidden behind the wheel, so that you can estimate how stretched the tire is.

The narrower tread and slanted sidewalls helped me temporarily squeeze 225/45R17 on 17x9 +40 in the rear, although the wheel pokes more than I'd like (it looks worse in person):

With 245/40R17 the sidewall was roughly parallel to the face of the wheel.
Here's 245/40R17 on 17x9 +48:

Curious to see more photos of how the sidewall of 235/40R17 sits on 17x9s!

Thanks for posting 225 on 17x9. Agree. This is not right.
Do you have an opinion about 225 on 17x8.5?

Yep here you go. Some shots of the sidewall from different angles.

Thanks a lot! They look roughly in between 245/40 and 225/45 when it comes to the slant angle of the sidewall.

Yeah one might almost think the number 235 was in between the numbers 225 and 245!

J/K sorry couldn't resist

Love your wheels btw, looking good!

hard to show the fitment in a picture, so here's a boomerang!

18x9.5 +40 w/ 255/35 + lots of arms replaced.

He posted it earlier in the thread and then I asked for pics:

How much camber? Shave the rear fender?
