I don't normally engage, but since I got my upgrades installed I love surprising people.

My highlight so far was leaving a 370z behind at the lights last week with his buddy recording in the passenger seat.

Upgraded pulley with E85 tune (catless headers too). HKS claim the GT V3 Supercharger kit is capable of 320hp with the upgraded pulley, headers and E85. I have it booked in for some dyno pulls in a few weeks, I'm curious to see if I'm getting close to that figure myself.

I haven't had the kit installed for long and I'm still getting used to the biting point for my tires, I'll find the car snaking a lot until I shift up to 2nd. Either the car is pushing some serious power now, or I just suck at launching

Yeah, I usually over compensate while driving on public roads, too.

An update for anyone interested, the dyno results showed 310whp! Details and pics are in a thread in the forced induction part of the forum.

Had a kid with an old beat up E46 328i chase me through a round a bout while I took an evening drive.

I always take it quickly since it's in the middle of nowhere leading to an open countryside road. (Also been fun testing RCE yellows there since the slope of the pavement causes the car to move around more.)
I wasn't paying attention much until I exited the corner and saw him following then losing the back end with jerky movements. Pretty sure poop came out.

Then proceeded to blow by me doing 160km+.

Had someone in an E63 AMG book it passed me yesterday on my way home. They got stuck at the light with me and never bothered to speed off or antagonize me further. Just kinda weird they basically revved their motor at me and went about their business.

Aight, so I've had a few interactions at this point that have all been random and I have a witness now as well(gf) so I know I'm not crazy.

Golfs. GTI's and R's in my area seem to all be driven by teenagers or young adults that are all of the unsavoury snapback wearing(flat rim baseball caps for you old people) pants to the floor so I can get ass slammed kind. I only know this because I happened to see them get out, but I'll come back to this part.

GTI's and R's all want to race and/or flex something. I now have at least 6 different occasions where mostly R's are trying to goad me into a race before taking off like some maniac.. each driver looks the same, dropped out of highschool to find himself at a pizza delivery shop only to get bailed out by daddy's money anyway. Most notable is a black R that for sure lives close and really has a stick up his ass whenever he sees me; loud PoS exhaust, pops at every lift of throttle, lowered and stance for the 'hellaflush' life kids and some body colour fat spoiler thing that is just kinda there.

This same character, who had attempted to race me a few times now just so happens to pull up beside me as I'm at the convenience store, of all times. Car is fully loaded with these kids. The drivers boyfriend that looks like his girlfriend gets out and has to adjust his sweatpants and hat as he is walking to the corner store. I look over at the driver and I'm not surprised, his seat is reclined far enough back to where he needs to tilt his head upward to see over the steering wheel... I think you get it at this point, the entire car was full a stereotype douche.

I start my car, roll my windows down in 30 celsius(fite me) and proceed to drive away. There are some people walking around so I'm going a bit slower... HE STARTS REVVING.. His violently rattling PoS golf R is now making garbage Honda lawn mower sounds at me as he hits his very obvious stock neutral rev limit.. I was embarrassed for him.

There is a Golf problem in my area. I would go so far as to even say it's a German car problem.

I’m only half serious. As a car Enthusiast individual at any age you either street race or you don’t. but if you don’t you tell the story of how you didn’t race.

I don’t go looking deliberately but some one can catch it at a light for sure if coast is clear. Naturally the car you drive will always attract that “race” vibe from other enthusiasts for better or worse. When you are with a good crowd it’s enjoyable with respect & trust but some random encounters can be annoying/pestering for people.
