They did it themselves.. They mounted rails in the moving van and loaded the car in after it was mostly filled. I think it was a bekins... Was awhile back..
Don't know the cost as my company moved me out at the time. Was a good experience..

Reliable Carriers Inc. just quoted me $1,724 for an enclosed shipment. I've mostly been pricing open carriers, but this is one of the cheapest prices for an enclosed shipment, and it is the cheapest price for an enclosed shipment from a company that I know for sure isn't a broker/agent.

Intercity Lines just got back to me and said they can't do it because the route is outside of their area. Wasn't expecting that...

The seller actually just recommended them. He said he's used them a few times with no problems.

Intercity Lines, Reliable, and Plycar have all been good to me and all top notch when shipping race cars or exotics. For my FRS when I shipped it from MD to CA I wasn't nervous about the car since it was oem and insured so I just used a broker and it was only $1200, pickup the next day, and delivered in about 5 days without issue. The problem is you get who you get but it went very well both ways.

Thanks,
Phil Grabow

Any updates?

Yeah, it was shipped from a dealership to him and he was never told the name of the shipping company, only the name of the driver to contact throughout the process. He gave me the number and I called the guy late last night pretending I wanted to ship my car down to Orlando. I left a voicemail so I will wait to here back from him so I can find out their name. But the car arrived with 0 nicks, scratches etc.

I'm not sure if they run throughout the whole country, east coast, mid west etc, but I'm assuming they're nationwide as the camaro came from Houston

I would, but I'm in Asia, the car's in Utah, and I live in Mississippi. I'm not going to want to make a road trip from UT to MS right when I finally get back home several months from now. Trust me, I definitely looked at the route. But I'd rather the car be sitting at my house the next few months than in the seller's way at his house.

I appreciate it, but I needed to get the ball rolling, so I went ahead and put my deposit down for Montway. They have a lot of good reviews, I read their entire insurance policy, and their prices were very good whilst still not being the cheapest.

I could've probably gotten the job done for like $800 using Uship, but for just $250 more, I'll have a lot more peace of mind. Peace of mind is a big deal when you've got lots of people handling your brand new (to you) car and you're on the opposite side of the world.

Remodel the bathroom!? What sort of diabolical plan is she trying to create here?

Nonsense. Boost to the moon!

I've been asked about my experience with Montway, so here it is:

The driver showed up a day early to pick it up, which was incredibly inconvenient for the seller, @Tanuki who may want to chime in. Then he showed up a day early at 7am to drop it off, which was also inconvenient for my still-drunk-from-last-night friend who was receiving the car. They showed me pictures of the guy, and he looks really haggard, and they said he had a thick Mexican accent and was hard to understand on the phone.

That being said, my car was shipped in the open and on bottom, and arrived perfectly fine without damage or issue. I'm very pleased. And clearly, the driver made great time. Montway is just a broker that hires random drivers, but their reputation is good, so I trusted them to value their reputation enough to not pick a shady driver. The one they chose was a bit disappointing for said reasons, but at the end of the day, his dirty appearance and poor communication skills are non-issues after he's gone and the car is sitting safe and sound back in your possession. It sucks that I'm deployed and had to completely rely on other people to handle my business for me, which led to them being inconvenienced, but... what can you do?

So I would half-assedly recommend Montway to anyone. I could've gone cheaper and gotten better results, but I'd also be at just as much of a risk. If you want a company that uses their own trucks and drivers, you'll have to spend a good 50% more than I did at the very least.

No clue about your clearance issues, @switchlanez. Here are pictures of the driver and the truck Tanuki sent to me.

Thanks, @Anthony. Good to hear it worked out fine in the end. I'm too paranoid to have my car in a double-deck trailer. I prefer single deck open, single car trailer (if companies exist for that besides hauling the trailer myself), or enclosed. All without risk of scraping my car which has a reduced ground clearance of effectively 3.4". BTW, I've ridden as a passenger in your car at Las Vegas when it still belonged to @Tanuki.
