Looks like it does have some kind of channel on the roof; which is actually a styling feature I like on our cars.

Headlights definitely give me porsche vibes.

I know not many are not excited about the NA 2.4 if that is what we are getting... but I sure am Hope the heads stay the same so we can buy short blocks and have a good time swapping what we desire for stockish to full out builds.

I am liking the design from what has been officially shown. If they can keep to the strong foundation basics we currently have we should all be pretty happy.

I’m super excited to see what the outcome will be for the 2022 BRZ! So far it looks good in the spy shots. Overall I’m just excited to be back in the BRZ game

There is no way that they are going away from the FA20 engine. 86mm bore and stroke, THE 86 engine! What I want to know is if Tada-san, the lead engineer for the joint project, actually went forward with what he teased a few years back and made it the first production vehicle with KERS!

I've been looking at the Toyota Supra and it dawned on me there is no way
that Toyota will let Subaru put a Turbo in this car. The Supra has a 4 cylinder

turbo option but no manual transmission. If there is a BRZ turbo putting out
260hp with a manual it would destroy sales of the Supra 4. Toyota won't let this happen. I'll be completely shocked to see a turbo in this car.

No it wouldn't. Two different target audiences. Not everybody is comparing Supras to BRZs no matter what the power levels are.

For gods sake people that picture was photoshopped based on a few inches of a headlight and sliver of bumper. It does not represent anything beyond that.

I agree with Tcoat, many cars make within 50-60 hp of each other but are leaps and bounds in cars, price & desirability.

The 4 banger turbo manual option is going to be ok in the supra but no where near the inline 6 it currently has. All though the Current A90 with the auto is a downer. The Brz / 86 have a good foot in the game no matter what I feel, quick NA, quicker done up, want boost? Add it and have a solid 280-330hp at the tire with a stock long block in the chassis you really love

I'm not so sure. I agree the 6 is in a different league but the 4 is a lot cheaper and dropped a lot of the 6's suspension items. Also there many that are incensed that the Supra is just a BMW with a different body and there is no manual available. A 260hp BRZ would also be faster than the Supra 4.

For each person incensed about it being a BMW there will be one that wants it for that very reason.
Price and speed are also irrelevant. You are applying your preferences and priorities to the whole car buying public. The BRZ will never steal enough sales from the Supra when the whole picture is looked at instead of one small snapshot of one segment.
There will of course be cross shoppers but overall they are just two different worlds for many people.

Yes, there are many more cars to chose from than people recognize. Want more power? There are Mustangs Camaros, Zs etc to choose from. The development of a higher power BRZ is not going to make a noticeable dent in those sales numbers.

It's not unreasonable to think that the obviously photoshopped (and dimmed-out) parts of that composite image provide a decent approximation of what it will look like.

There's no point in having forums to discuss what we MIGHT get if nothing can be presented or talked about until "official release"...
