For what it's worth, over in the "what price did you pay" thread, I posted my experience with a dealer up in NorCal (Sacramento) who sold me a manual 860 for $25500, which is pretty darn good. (actually cost me $26500, since I financed it, and you can either get the advantageous financing rate OR the $1K discount, but not both)

Congrats on the purchase! You got your car at a great price! I was talking to some Toyota dealers here and didn't get as low as you did. Based on the pricing threads for the 860 and BRZs you guys in NorCal get some pretty decent deals compared to us down here.

Buy somewhere else and drive home! I was looking anywhere in the Western states for the best deal...lucked out that it was only 90 minutes from my home, but I was also looking forward to driving down from Oregon or Nevada in my new 86 a bit, too

Yep I was planning to travel a bit to Arizona for a deal, but I also found a local dealer that was able to give me a solid deal on a '17 PP BRZ. I might have saved some money by waiting until later this year/early next year, but I spent too much time on this forum reading about how much people were enjoying their cars and I got impatient

Haha! Isn't that always the case. I always tell myself to wait, but as I read more and more about a particular car I am interested in, it makes me want to pull the trigger faster.

Hi there,

Just joined, after purchasing a new Halo White 860. First impressions after taking it to the mountains near Asheville...

Holy cow! This thing sticks soooooo well! It has been a while since I had a great handling car(had to do the whole family thing for past 10+ years), but decided i deserve a little fun again. And man am I glad I chose the 860! Not overpowered at all, performs really well at high RPM, and lets you really push the turns faster than a lot of cars I've seen.

Well, nice to meet everyone. I might share a few vids I took on my trip to the mountains soon.

Hello from Fort Worth, TX! Just picked up a 14' FRS. Haven't been in the car scene for a good 8-9 years! I'm an ex-speed shop owner turned semiconductor engineer. Been a fan of the platform for a while so I pulled the trigger a few weeks ago to match the Toyota family of vehicles I already have at home. Think I could learn a thing or two and hopefully build a solid work/track car with the support of this forum. Cheers!

Hello all....just saying hi long time lurker but I feel its time to be more active and involved. Just pick up 2013 frs and wow what a great chassis reminds me of my 1989 Toyota MR2 aw11 chassis which was the the funnest car I've had in my life. 40 years old and man having a blast. My plans are fuel header and tune and I feel that's all their needs.! Met a couple ft86 Vegas folks, good people!

Hi, ive been a lurker in this forum for quite some time now till i got my 86 and now slowly building it for the track. I look forward in being more active in the forum hahahaha

Mostly Stock with few upgrades:
  • MFactory 4.67 Final Drive
  • Skunk2 Pro-C Coilovers
  • Volk GT-N Wheels
  • Toyo Proxes R888

This is my daily driver and a weekend track/autocross car. so yeah, maintaining this car in pristine condition is quite costly for my type of use hahahaha

Hi!
Long time lurker, finally going to pick up a twin in a week or so .

Had a ton of fun test driving it and that clutch engagement made me feel like a total noob all over again . Cant wait to spend time getting to know her.
