Put 75k miles on an '85 NA. Now I daily drive the '88 SC I bought as a rolling shell and resurrected.

Personally the GT-86 seems to be the spiritual successor to the Spyder, the last Toyota-badged sports car in the US.

Have you seen it? I am the exhaust contest guy
it does feel similar to the spyder in its lightness and handling. Almost surprising to get a car that feels this good from the factory.

Also own the styling predecessor to the MR2 Mk1: the Fiat X1/9

Hopefully there is room in my life for an FRS or BRZ someday...

Yup, another former MR2 and current GT86 owner checking in. I had a 1991 SW20, which originally ran a normally aspirated 2-litre 3S-GE. Replaced it with a gen2 JDM 3S-GTE.
