Weird! I was looking at those, but thought them too thick of spokes to be them. I guess you're right, just the angle of the gold wheels and such.

Thanks.

As for the STi accessories, I am not impressed. The front lip is very nice, but I'm not liking the side skirts at all. I'll take my LTD spoiler over the subtle lip, and aren't the wheels basically identical to the stock WRX? The exhaust tips fit nicely with the diffuser, can't wait to hear how it sounds. But overall, disappointing. Maybe my expectations were too high...

Yes but those are fake "CF look" and absurdly overpriced.

Hey! I didn't say you'd like them! haha

The ones featured in this thread look like CF overlay to me (I know they're not). Not impressed.

Possum Bourne (founder of PBMS) virtually invented the fast Subaru, long before Subaru even thought of anything like STi. If you think in terms of Toyota, you could liken him to Ove Andersson .. only far more successful as a driver.

Possum died tragically last decade, but the people from PBMS have continued to make some of the best rally cars in the world. They've been doing it for 20 years as PBMS, 30 years if you include Possum entering old Leonies in WRC events.

If you are talking Subaru, PBMS are not just another workshop, they are like royalty. From my limited contact with them, very nice guys too. You'd expect that as Possum was a true gentleman and absolute legend.

those exhaust tips look HUUUGE. but I like it. And the STI shift knob is nice.
Don't like the large black area along the rear of the side skirt, it's just too much.

Thanks Myles.

It's nice to know people on the other side of the world are aware of how much of a contribution Possum made towards the platform we are all driving.

That little tribute has made me enthusiastic about my 86 all over again. If I've ever met anyone who LOVED to drive, it was Possum.

And that's what this car is all about.

It's now just about 5pm on Friday here. I'm going to go and have a beer and toast one of the most talented, friendly, generous and modest motorsport legends to ever walk the planet.

Thanks again.

Tony

The BRZ STI main page shows them fitted (err rendered, ha) but still not available for purchase. *and so the anticipation builds*
Funny how the rear spoiler gurney flap popped out of nowhere though, instantly available.

More rally than race.
