I've been leaning Borla as it seems like a good all around sound. My only reservation was the clamp-heavy design which came off as cheap to me. This feeling has been semi-validated by recent posts about quality. I'm starting to lean back toward wanting something noisier anyway, maybe Perrin, but I can't keep track of what the options are.
Look at the last few posts before yours.

They are complete dog shit exhausts.

I mean 95% of the reason you get an exhaust is for the sound. They dont make or contribute to power in any meaningful way. Its not like they are going to spontaneously fall off your car due to messy welds. If the man likes the sound of the borla, that should be the main factor.

full disclosure, I have the borla on my 22, but I got it because the tips look like I wanted, and the sound is what I was going for. The rest doesnt really matter to me on a part that is purely cosmetic and 95% of it will never be seen by me or anyone else.

Sure, the header merge is crap, but this is a catback. I own a Borla that has a mild fitment issue and still think it's a great buy.

1) It has the perfect sound level
2) No drone
3) Lighter than stock
4) It's a straight through 2.5" system, no chambers, no baffles, nothing.
5) 304 stainless

Yes. Changes the flange location a bit to fit the updated overpipe. First gen header/overpipe flange was angled a bit differently.

Jesse was saying they should be available as of a couple of weeks ago, IIRC. You'd likely need to call or email JDL.

No changes to the rear overpipe flange though I assume? I've got a JDL frontpipe waiting to bolt to the stock overpipe once my cat-back arrives.

Jesse said the rear flange is "normal"

Awesome! Is that a catback only? Kinda sounds like it has a header.

This is completely stock with one of our catbacks installed, we will post the full release in about a week with all the info and a variety of sound clips so you can get a better idea.

It is, figured everyone would want an update on the project. You won't have to wait too long for the full release, it will be up 5/24.
