hi guys.. Toyota 86 user from Cebu..
Made my reservation for a white MT back in July 2012 and took delivery nung Dec 2012.. didn't expected the car to arrive much sooner kase haba na ng list when I was filling out the form But apparently, mas madami nagpa~pareserve sa AT kesa sa MT kaya maaga ko nakuha yung sa akin.. some pics fresh from the dealer.. put my old jap plates to good use breaking in the 86 in the weee hours of the morning.. parking on the other side of the road.. 86 blending in with the locals I used to own the old 86 here's me having some fun drifting at a mini karting track here in cebu.. with the new 86, power and handling is definitely 100% better in stock form.. marami kase ako nababasa from other threads na kulang daw sa power yung bagong 86/BRZ... pero if you've tried the old one, the new one is just right to have fun with. sorry for the long post... 1st post kase eh kaya medyo excited hahahaha Last edited by jdmasfcuk; 02-11-2013 at 03:18 PM. Congratulation to you and your car. Iba talaga kapag naka Japanese plates... nagiiba tingin mo sa auto I also like the photo of your car on the "touge"... sets the mood for driving I'm also not sure why people prefer the automatic for this car... I guess its a daily driven car but for purist/enthusiast the manual is the only option. I would like to try the AE86 but i'm pretty sure it's hard to live with (no power steering and ABS) but that's point of that car... it would teach you car balance and control; that's the reason why I like the new 86 so much. For people who are complaining it's under powered, it's simple... you're doing it wrong |

Good morning guys, got the 86 last January 31 from Toyota Bicutan.
Its black, base model M/T. Milage was 11kms when I got it, and currently at 150kms. Hope to meet the group soon. *I am from Alabang Current: 1. Removed rear 'toyota' word emblem 2. Removed some trunk tools 3. Sucked out 3/4 liter of engine oil as it was way over filled from the factory 4. Gassed up with Shell Vpower Racing 5. Breaking-it-in softly via 50-80% throttle until 4k rpm and on an increasing pace as milage increases. plenty of decelerations to induce vacuum 6. Minor crickets at 850rpm-1.1k rpm on 2nd gear acceleration, usually after bumps/humps (very minimal and I think its normal) Initial Plans: 1. Paint sealant, Paint cleaner this week 2. Greddy SP Elite axle back (ordered) 3. TRD Shift knob 4. TRD strut bar 5. 18's gram lights silver 6. Smaller plate frame (our cars come with European plate frames which is too long for our local plates) 7. Maybe a set of coilovers (thinking twice as it might ruin the cars suspension balance) Tye300 / TGT 86, I work somewhere in Ortigas and I am pretty sure that the black 86 with TGT plate is yours. I always see your car parked at El Pueblo basement parking in which I park everyday. Your car is a total baddass. I admire the things you did, very simple and elegant -- from rims to interior modifications. Where did you get your parts? We should see each other soon. |

Yes that's me. I'm always at El Pueblo because I'm a tenant there. (Archipelago7107) Thanks for the kind words, hope to see your car and meet you soon. I got my rims from Emperor Autokozmetix in Home Depot ortigas and the TRD parts from the Hong Kong distributor Kingston. If you need help getting some parts just let me know. P.S. As I said in my previous post, gassing up with V-power seems to make the crickets under the hood appear. In my experience gassing up with Blaze makes it go away. |

My first fill-up was with Shell V-Power Racing. Noticed the crickets soonafter. Been running Petron Blaze for 1,700km now, no cricket sound so far
