It goes way beyond that. The same mentality that misinterprets the 2nd Amendment is the same mentality that we see on the forum on many topics. People read things they want to read, interpret things to their advantage, and there is no changing their thought process. People don't understand the difference between what is law, what is a right, and what is corporate policy. From what I remember from school, the spirit behind the second amendment was to "deputize" the general population in the event the country was under threat from foreign interests. The musket was the highest powered weapon commercially available at the time so it was a little forward thinking to be generic. This splintered off to allow a property owner to defend their perimeter from trespassers, to personal protection anytime anywhere. It's the counterpart to murder which has been illegal for centuries, so what are we protecting ourselves against if everyone can own a gun but effectively illegal to use it with force?

It's interesting that guns are legal to make, legal to own, but illegal to use effectively; it's the exact opposite for street narcotics. You can't even buy raw cocoa beans in this country. Seems a bit backwards to me.

Not to mention forming militias to quell slave rebellions or track down and recapture runaways.

And make sure the Irish stayed in their place, eliminate any large and troublesome native populations, ensure the Chinese labour force didn't get uppity and chase down anybody that even slightly challenged the status quo.
It was a different time and applying modern standards to their actions just doesn't work.

History is full of surprising foresight as well as grand mistakes. Some things have adapted or been appropriately updated, and some are held back.

One of the traditional uses of lard is to hold the bearings in for re-assembly.

Figured it out. The motor is not wired correctly so the hots need flipped on the plug from standard. Noticed it was spinning backwards messing with it this morning.

i've used bearing grease for the purpose. lard is too tasty to waste on bearings!

Don't know if its the same but Amazon sells an ice cream flavor that is intended to be mixed with vanilla ice cream to create Blue Moon.

I was looking to see if maybe they carry it, but it doesn't appear they do, when I saw that. We sometimes order Artic Zero through them when we can't get it locally.

Artic Zero sounds "no thanks" if you look at the ingredients (faba bean based) but it is the closest thing to real ice cream MomHawk can have. If you follow the directions to thaw it, it's creamy and tasty. It's also very low calorie, at less than 200 per pint.

They used to have a Vanilla Cherry with "Chocolate" chunks that was good enough I couldn't tell the difference from regular brands, but they don't sell that one any longer.
