He said that was lower then normal because of some cars dont allow for more timing. What does this mean and is there any way to know right now if my car won't allow for more timing? Not that 250 isn't alot but after seeing 260-270 and church automotive telling me they generally can make 270-280 I was hoping to get close to those numbers.
Thanks for any help possible.
Do you know what a stock car makes on each of those dynos?

This and stock vs aftermarket header are major variables.

Has anyone had issues with the bypass valve. After only a bit over a year (dozen+ track days), mine started leaking (not fully closing) and looks like it is melted/disintegrated with bits stuck in the valve. Surely these are designed to withstand the intake charge temps!?

Installed the Jackson Racing Supercharger with JR tune. I would call this a transformation rather than modification. Everything works so much better and the sound is awesome.

Thanks to Malen@86Speed and Oscar Jackson Jr. for all of their help.

I have a 2017 86 stick. I am thinking of the Jackson Racing kit like you did.
Any real world 0-60 or other performance numbers with the kit.
Thanks,
Ron

I will post 0-60 number if I can find any time to go to a safe place for testing. This thread is full of all kinds of performance numbers, dyno charts, etc. Just check them out. I don't have any special mod to add to those numbers. I had written my personal experience in another thread as follows

The power increase did not overwhelm the car; handling, braking, everything else are still great. I didn't want to do any other performance mod before JRSC and I don't think I will do anything else after this. I was thinking about installing a catback to add some rumble since all sound generator parts were being removed. But the supercharger whoosh is so good, I don't want any rumble anymore.

Thanks for your reply, I have read most of the posts on the Jackson supper charger on this forum. I have looked at most of the dyno charts, and read most of the driving impressions. But I have yet to see any performance numbers.
I have also looked on YouTube for a review by someone like Car and Driver ECT.
But I could not find anything. Thanks,
Ron

Curious about Sleepless's question as I intended to track my car with the JR setup as well.

I wouldn't let my issue hold you back; the JRSC is great for the track! Something unusual must have happened in my case. I'll be heat-wrapping the new valve ...

original air intake duct

I removed the original air intake duct while installing the JRSC kit. Is this how others did? Is there a chance of getting water onto the air filter without it under heavy rain?

Yup, Had exactly the same thing. Replaced mine with a cheap Aluminium unit (XSPower) off ebay as a stop gap while I ordered a new one. Still on the car today after numerous track days and daily driving. Never bothered to put the plastic one back in.
