I like setting off in 2nd just because I can get up to 17mph and barely past 2k rpm.
1st gear is just too short for getting the car going.

Anyways. enough about my bitching. Does anyone have a Kartboy or TWM or BPS short shifter installed to their car? I havent done my research but which one gives the highest reduction in throws? I kinda want to make the whole shifter shorter and the reverse lockout be lower or hidden inside the shifter boot.. I would like to be able to rest me elbow on my cup holder area and still shift.

My post maybe all over the place right now but this forum is getting less attention and im just hoping for some input.
I have the Kartboy in mine. There's a definite reduction in throws. This shows the reduction in throws over stock with the Kartboy. I'll have to see if my arm rests on the center console when I shift. I'll have to make sure that I make it to the next meet so that you can look at mine.

Haha. I have to make sure I make it to the meets too. But I noticed you lived in Ferndale. We can quickly just meet up somewhere downtown or somewhere close.

I have the BPS short shifter. I like it a lot more than stock. It makes the stock shifter feel really sloppy.

How is the installation? I hear that you have to cut somethings.

I need a short throw with the biggest reduction.

I work in downtown Royal Oak too so we can probably meet up in either place whenever.

The Kartboy is a little shorter and you just need to make one cut but it's not bad and it's a cheap part to replace. I'll send you my instructions if you would like to take a look?

Hey that's me! I just started working at Chrysler two weeks ago. Any good car meets you guys regularly attend? I'm new to the area!

Cheers

yep.. I'm doing the smart and responsible thing since my wife still hasn't found a job. I hate spending $500+ a month on a car and insurance that I drive 5k miles a year and not at all in the winter.

We'll see if it sells.. I have someone coming to look at it on Sat.

I secretly hope I can't sell it.. but if it does at least I'll know I did the smart thing.
