Unhappy oil catch smoke and leak

after installing oil catch can i found location of leak i took the top of the intake manifold off and the whatever from back below it and tons of white smoke and dripping burning oil on the front of the exhaust where i hadnt worked. i did run the car and some revs for warmup because i didnt notice any leaks or smoke at first. fixed the order of the hoses and it did again, leak oil only when its running.

Long day problem solving I was tired and that made little sense. I added a lil catch can but it didn’t work well, I uninstalled it and replaced my old pcv hose, now when I turn over there is oil over the headers and smoke from exhaust (white).. no hose leaks it seems but my other hoses are shaking a lot more than it seems it was

Was the catch can installed to fix a problem or preventative? Catch cans do not fix problems. Is it working now? I can not decipher your posts completely.
