If you run into any issues with UPlay, as far as your games crashing without even getting to the menu screen. Disable and delete Nahimic Service.

Not too proud about it, but I was lucky to get it from a distributor instead of a retailer. Runs a bit hot and is loud, but just have to tweak your fan settings/pump settings and set a linear curve with the limit at around 70-80 C

Please run a dedicated psu cable to each connector on that card. It’s a 300 watt card and it can pull ~440 watts over short bursts.

Daisychaining the single cable is asking for stability problems when you’re dealing with high transient loads.

FYI:
PCIe slot: 75W
6-pin: 75W
8-pin: 150W

Edit: I think I’m seeing 8+6 pin but I’m not positive. Either way I’d run 2 separate power cables. Full 8 pins not 6+2.

Someone on reddit just posted a pic of a melted cable from daisy chaining on a 3080. Oops.

Well fuck. Guess I need a bigger PSU now. I only have one 6+2 PCIE connector.

Don’t get a gigabyte one if you do upgrade.

Honestly - a dedicated 8 pin and a separate 6+2 is probably fine. What is the power rating of your PSU?

My phanteks Amp has been rock solid.

Can’t go wrong with seasonic either. Definitely go 750W or higher

lol I'm sure you could get away with a 650-850w. I'm only using a 650w and I'm still able to run a ryzen 9 5900x and 3070

As long as it is a fully modular 8-Pin I could stay at 750w-800, correct.

I think an RMx 850 should do it.
