29C (84) at 7AM while driving to work today. Expected to hit 43C (109) this afternoon.... feel like close to 50. Air quality advisory too with absolutely no wind and a noticeable haze in the air.

I have a small AC for my bedroom at least. It's been running non-stop the last 48 hours and keeping it a manageable 26 or so... the rest of my condo is 32+.

Forest fire season is gonna suck this year.

Reminds on how Mrs Mafia wants to move to WA and then I see the temps. She nearly passed out yesterday with 80+ degree weather 70+ humidity.

All up and down the coast. You and I are even more vulnerable because we're supposed to be a temperate rainforest. Lots of growth suddenly becomes tinder. :/

Fingers crossed for you.

It's a dry heat but still frighteningly out of the norm.

unless you stick it in a doorway and seal the front and back apart from each other, thermodynamics don't work that way

We are putting it in this evening. I should be okay if I survived last night with my place being closed up all weekend.

Iffen you were married to mrs humfrz you would have to get a bigger AC or a smaller bedroom .... or plan on visiting her at the local motel -

Meantime, thanks to recent and continuing storms, it's uncharacteristically pleasant in Georgia....

I suspect we'll make up for it in August, we always do....
