Yeah, I'm lucky in that I drive mine less than average and I'm probably good until gen 2 is announced. Then it will be tough decision time. Considering that's probably about time to talk about having kids or not.....

Plan a: Just get a gen-2, if it's better by my perception.

Plan b: if the gen-2 sucks, try to find a new-leftover gen-1 to get all the updates

Plan c: take the 2013 off the road for an overhaul, to include bushings, suspension stuff, possibly engine shenanigans, possibly paint, etc. Probably be a permanent state, but it's fun to think about lol.

I like the sound of 'Plan c', there is so much you can do whilst maintaining the core ethos.

I would have went with plan c as well except I don't have the room to store and work on a car.

Yeah, I probably would just jump to plan c, but if gen-2 is a better platform to start from, I gotta think plan a is the way to go.

I think gen 2 will be compromised, further environmental shit to shackle it so it'll get heavier and feel bloated.. But then again, I could be completely wrong, it turns out to a sure footed, lithe, power mad little sports car..

I had just started playing tennis with a buddy but we're cheap and public courts dont have lights. So thats out for a couple more weeks still.
They have beer leagues around here. We keep trying to get team together from the guys at work, I mean we have a full on batting cage in the building

I used to play tournament paintball locally, and in 2016 played part time for a national team. Between traveling to practice and events and actually playing that year cost me over $10K

BTW, do you like fried green tomatoes?

That is why I have them started in the house so I can have them in the ground right after last frost so I have plenty of summer.

Mrs. Ho does want a green house. I'm looking into one.

Getting into a habit is the hardest part and I hate the gym anyway so this just sucks. Would much rather do an active sport or something but hard to find something for out of shape dudes in their 30s around here lol
The problem with sports when you get older is the increased chance of injury. If you have a family and job, an injury can be really bad news. A lot less likely to have major injury in the gym.

The gym is a lot different than when I was young. People would talk and help each other out. Now everyone is silent with headphones on.

If @ichitaka05 is even half right in the limited info he can divulge then I think that many here will have very little interest in the Gen 2

If it turns out he is very wrong and it is a great car I will still manage to avoid the first year teething issues that seem to plague most models and Subarus in particular.

Get yourself and your wife a decent pair of walking shoes/trainers and start walking. It's great exercise that doesn't feel like exercise.

For me plan C is called "Saturday" This Saturday is going to be installing my new coilovers, suspension bushings, bumpsteer/roll center correction kit, solid subframe mounts and doing an alignment. Next Saturday is swapping over to my spare engine with some oiling mods and building my oil cooler ducting.

When we first moved out to Washington, I tried to grow tomatoes. I found out there wasn't enough day length nor heat units for them to mature.

So, I started them in the basement under grow lights (which the neighbors wondered about). I then moved them to a small greenhouse on the deck. After that, I transplanted them into large clay pots on the deck. When they were about ripe, the damn birds would eat them -

I gave up and just buy them from the grocery store -

Just getting caught up again. Lots of good stuff brought up in the past few days, but unfortunately the only thing in my head now is the below song, but with Toyota instead of Funky.
