Turn the bass and treble up one setting each
Try 93 octane gas from a gas station you would not normally use
Try pushing the drivers seat forward slightly more than normal..

This is a good performance bang for buck mod.

If you want to wire the footwells to the dome, I can walk you through it. It's stupid easy and I don't get how some vendors sell it at $100 for an extra 20 feet of copper wiring. All you need is the extra wiring ($0.10 a foot at home depot), scissors, and electrical tape. The panels in this car are so easy to work with that I promise you, you won't see the wiring.

Here's my before/after pic. Took me 10 minutes to wire and install.

FTR, I'm also on a lease and you can see all my DIY mods searching #1868 on instagram. I'm planning to buy after but in the event I don't, I have all OE parts ready to swap. Highly recommend convex mirrors as it eliminates the damn blind spot. Safety issue imo! Happy modding!

Excellent, I will check out your hash on IG. Nice to hear someone's advice with the same situation as me on the lease and unsure of keeping it or not at the end. I'll look into wiring it..I really dont want a big 12v plug-in in my center armrest area anyway..

If you are looking towards any lighting needs, both HIDPowerHouse and Diode Dynamics are easy to deal with. Although, I have also heard that if you want full on retrofit, that theretrofitsource.com is the way to go.
Thanks guys, I will check them out.

There's a 12V plug in the glovebox - that's what I'm using for my red LED footwell lights

All right, here are my two cents. My FRS is leased as well, have 2 more years to go on her. I had big plans of buying the car out and modding it in the process. However, I came up with a better alternative. Since FRS is my first rear wheel drive manual car, I think I'll just use my lease to learn the car, get all the in and outs, do track days and what not. After 3 years, I'll either get another FRS or something better might come on the market. The only things I modded on my car were taillights, shift knob and tint all around. Also, not modding my leased car will allow me to save money for more mods for my future car

I leased mine also but I haven't had time to do anything yet. For now I do plan on buying at the end - I just opted for a lease because of lower monthly payments.

My plans are just a beatsonic sharkfin and ca-fi dashlinq4 head unit, and buddy club taillights. I'm debating getting a cat-back also, but i'm still not sure about it. The footwell leds sounds like a good idea, so that's probably being added to my list soon
