How is it not. The TRD Griffon is not powerful and neither is this limited production car, yet all the complaints about adding power. It has the functional aero to be faster, and people talking like they are just mere cosmetic enhancements...

Spoken like a bunch of people who have never spent any significant time on a race track, and just to busy hard parking or stop light racing.

Everything on this car is functional.

well lets take a look at it. is an order of magnitude more expensive than this production car. this car does not have the ridiculous race tires which, if you "spent any significant time on a race track" you would know is the single biggest factor for that cars lap time. not the aero. i would be willing to bet a standard twin with decent tires is going to run circles around this race inspired griffon street car. giving credit to this car because of what an actual race car has accomplished is like saying my moms camry is fast because they use them in nascar. just because two cars are not powerful but one is fast doesnt make the other one fast. your perspective is naive at best.

You think a stock twin with tires is going to be faster than a twin with upgraded diff, coil overs, more aggressive gearing, lighter flywheel, magnesium forged wheels, upgraded tires, and aero? Or is all of that fluff? Interdasting.

And your's is biased to say the least. I really don't know why you bother to post your constant negativity here.

As for your assertion that a stock 86 with race tyres would be quicker than a 14R60 around the track, that is so deluded it is laughable.

The 14R60 is cheap for what it is.

The 14R60 will be quicker around any track than a stock 86 with race tyres due to it's weight, gearing, handling, brakes and electronics tweaks.

The only negative points you could muster for the 14R60 would be that due to worse than standard fuel economy, noise, vibration and stiffness it would not make a good daily driver at all compared to the stock 86.

if i was going to muster negative points (which i wasnt. youre putting words in my mouth), it would be that ridiculous price tag. i dont know why everybody keeps underrating the power of tires. its this forums standard default argument as to why the frs is the best car ever.

Funny that, anyone would think this is an 86/GT86/FRS/BRZ forum.

If you post on a Forum specifically for a particular model of car and constantly run it down with uneducated comments what do you expect?

How is your assumption any more educated than mine?

I visit this forum and s2ki.com. Night and day.

No bitching whatsoever on s2ki. It's unbelievable.

Looking again at the shit--er, I mean aero sticking out of the car, I think it ought to be retractable, with a button in the car that you hit and yell "PURSUIT MODE!" to deploy. Like in the Knight Rider 1985 refit.
