Performance Brakes on 2022 BRZ

Hi guys. On this YouTube video Raiti says there's an "optional performance brake package" (around the 3:33 mark) on the new BRZ. Does anyone know if that's right? I found some info about a performance package on the previous / first gen BRZ, but couldn't find any info on its availability for the 2022 / second gen BRZ. Anyone know?

He just said "I highly recommend".

This is a video from July.
Probably at that point the availability of options wasn't known to him.
Subaru wasn't giving much information to journalists until around September.

Didn't see one on the option sheet when I ordered in early September.

You will need proper pads and high-temp brake fluid though.

Eh I'd argue it depends how fast you are and what track it is. I can still fade R10's during a time trial session and that's with PP brakes and ducting.

If you're doing HPDE1/2/3 you're probably fine with just pads and fluid on the normal brakes. Also worth noting the primary benefit of "brembo" style calipers is the quick ease of pad swapping. I'd suspect a performance package will become an option later in the cars life cycle.

There are brake pad options that can handle more heat than the R10.

If you're fading them on PP with Ducting, try something much higher up the Gloc line, or consider trying the CSG C2.

I'd be willing to bet you won't fade the C2 unless you're just blatently standing on ABS every braking zone.

Uh oh.... You just lost all credibility on this forum. Despite all posted evidence to the contrary, S30 has let us all know that Brembos are a must to avoid brake fade.

Damn Mike, how am I supposed to trust you now?
