The people that go FI should think about them. Being plastic its hard to tell how much it will hold up to. I'm sure cosworth will have one out by years end.

Just FYI, the evo x's valve cover is made of a plastic polymer and there is hot oil under there touching the plastic, no problems what so ever. People even powder coat them which requires putting it in an oven. Todays plastics are very advanced just think about most modern handguns, they are being built with plastic polymers.

if anything the intake runners could be a bit longer reducing scavenging, which will probably lower the low end TQ, but smoothen out entire TQ band. But anyone who makes an aftermarket manifold will probably do it in metal, which will be much heavier than its thermoresin OEM counterpart. Which begs the question if a manifold is even worth the time/effort/money when gains are minimal overall by itself.
My guess is no, and your money could go to better mods. If by chance that your FA20 is being fitted with a turbo or SC..then maybe there should be some inquiry if the intake and intake ports could benefit from some aftermarket flavor.

We are game. Both for a sheet metal or cast long runner design and an ITB option. Have some further details on our exhaust offerings to test out and then we wi be tearing the top end off the engine.

And I think gains with a tune could be quite substantial. Just my opinion.

mmmmmmm ITB's..... this motor would sound so good, ITB's some aggressive cams and a 10k redline. It would rip the faces off women and children as you drove by. |

your engine would blow before you can run "too much" boost to break that plastic manifold. |

Adjusting the intake runner length to match the range of non-stock length headers could be useful, too.
