Yonaka renderings

Looks awesome. Sorry if its already been posted!

'Fox Marketing has the released the first rendering of their Scion FR-S.
Designed for Scion Canada, the one-off model is being jointly-developed with Yonaka Motorsports. It will feature a front lip spoiler, a ventilated hood, revised side skirts and a prominent rear wing. We can also see LED daytime running lights, high-performance brakes and five-spoke alloy wheels with Toyo tires.
There's no word on when the model will be unveiled, but Yonaka Motorsports is scheduled to take delivery of the vehicle later today.'

The Yonaka Scion FR-S debuted at the Importfest 2012 show in Toronto yesterday.

I think it looks even better in real life than in the rendering, but I might be biased since I got to work on the car

Big thanks go out to Toyo Tires Canada for allowing us to debut the car in their booth on such short notice.

Other than stickers, brakes and a lowered suspension, nothing has been done. There's no front lip, side skirts, rear wing or hood scoop (that last one could be because of the angle it was taken on) and no LED strip along the fog lights. I'm sad

Lighting is still being worked on, the car is far from "finished". It's only been in our possession for 4 weeks so far, and it's come a long way.

As for the scoop, yeah that was a bit of a snafu since the designer who did the render didn't realize the intake was right at the front of the hood. I suppose he was thinking WRX...

If you guys made a new bumper - that would be amazing .. mostly because I could replace the bumper with the Scion logo on it!
Hopefully something more aggressive and sharp - more along the lines of the prototype II
I really like the GReddy Housing:

but that bulge on the side of the regular light housing is wierd .. it just sticks out like a butt :/

Ouch.

I suppose you'd have to have seen the car in person. It sports a lot of preproduction and one-off stuff inside and out that you can't see from that photo.

If what you were looking for from this build was a lip kit and LEDs, then I suppose I could see how it would be disappointing in it's current state

Hey those rims looks awesome....and huge. what kind of rims are they and how big are they? What's your suspension setup, and how badly do the wheels rub?

They are 19" Forgestar CF5 rims in the gunmetal finish.

We put the specs and details up in the wheel thread:

Didn't mean for it to come out rough, it's just that the image rendering is very striking and it's because of the Aero kit, so I was expecting a full Aero kit IRL as well. I don't doubt any of the quality of the work or your word as to the extent it has been worked on. I was just sad to not see the Aero kit which looks great in the rendering. I guess since it's only been a few weeks that you have the car, it could still be a project in the works, right?

I'm not a fan of the wheels or the wing, but the body kit on the rendering along with the vented hood are making me excited in the pants.

This intrigues me a lot because I'm getting hot lava and anything in that color is like porn for me.
