I agree it's quite a fun car to drive. My go-to for getting to know a car is taking it to the 'ring. It's rare that I go on to a 2nd lap just because I'm enjoying it and want to, and I did with this car.

Handling isn't as silly as the GR Yaris, which I honestly never really enjoyed driving much in GT7. Maybe that tracks a little with real life, where everyone pins the GRY as this fun hooligan, but the GRC is knocked for not oversteering, too boring.

Also, 5.8 mil!? Was that like total winnings from a bunch of races + some bonuses for partaking? That was another reason I was able to let go of online racing. Back in GT6 quick match days online races paid out crazy bank. Since GTS, peanuts.

You didn't participate in any of the races in the GR cup?

So I just got my load cell brake. Fckn thing is STIFF. way too stiff.

Test drive with socks was a wash, there are times I can be precise, other times not so much.

Test drive with driving shoes went a lot better. Had to adjust the brake setting to 60 on the wheel. It’ll just take time getting used to.

@fredzy, my payout was for the entire season. I did 5/7 races. You won money for placement in local (county), state, country, and continent. I was just outside gold for my state (top 4 were gold, I was 5th) but for the other 3 I was gold.

Not too shabby!

Surprisingly, the daily race C (GT3 at Deep Forest) has gotten me back to S rank for SR. I'm also up to the top of B for DR. Still using the R34 GT500. haha. This is an interesting race as you have to make a pit stop, and you don't really need to get new tires or fuel. Basically a stop and go (unless you overdrive your tires, you should be able to last all 12 laps on the same tires you start on). So far I've used the pit stop when I didn't want to defend my position.

But I've been playing Armored Core 6 more since getting it. NGL, that game makes me want to rage quit. lol

Started racing in sport mode again and have been having a lot of fun. Been lucky lately and I would say 75% of the races have been clean for me. Lots of good nose to tail battles. Fuji without the stupid chicane is actually pretty fun and has a lot of good passing opportunities.

The GT300 performs very well on this challenge.

I haven't been playing since getting Armored Core 6. Probably missed the last couple of challenges/TT.

Gran Turismo 7

I just watched the fastest time and I don’t know how they’re not getting time penalties at the chicane. Must be really studying the limits from hundreds of laps because I know the second I try to recreate it I’m getting penalized.

I could try improving but at most, I think I would be at the low 47s. No way I can gold this challenge.

Thought I big brained the strategy on the mfg cup race. Messed up quali and started 11th. Got up to 5th and noticed the weather was getting dark. Crashed trying to look at the weather, back down to 8th. Started to rain just by Spoon curve so stayed out on slicks as everyone went in for inters with 7 laps to go, got back up to 4th. Rain got heavier and crashed out behind third with like 3 to go. Probably would have been a 4 or 5th if I pitted the lap before. Over cut the hell out of everyone staying out and made up over a stop in 3 laps.

I am bad at quali in cup. Did a second race, qualified 11th again, pitted for inters at the right time this go and finished 4th. I'm in GT2. Woohoo #1 in my local region in mfg cup.

I am the only one in my local region.

Unhappy

I didn't buy any rain tires before the race.

....So that went well
