Why did you order those? How do you know they are top notch quality?

Not trying to be an ass, just trying to make an educated purchase.

Lighthouse does not manufacture the LED's just resells them. Like most places you will buy them from they only resell them. If you want hard technical data go through digikey where you can look at the data sheets for the parts but you will also pay a bit more.

I have been working in electronics for 20+ years and can tell you the manufacturing process for things like LED's is pretty standardized so there will not be a huge difference from manufacturer to manufacturer. That being said, some companies QC of materials is stricter than others, but both of those are either ridiculously cheap or expensive. My $0.02.

Lighthouse is pretty middle of the road for pricing and can say that they are good at getting your order out to you right away. And the quality of their products are on par with what I have seen at work. (I work in the defense industry as a contractor)

So what did you need to do in order to swap clusters?

Thanks for the write up. Here's what I did for a friend.

The pink came out kinda purplely against the black gauges. The HVAC has been pinked as well. Had to order more LEDs for the window switches.

Not a clue, man. If I do the color mod, it's going to be with the cluster I already have for cost and downtime reasons.

My mod plans kind of got derailed/put on indefinite hold.

Upcoming marriage does that to you (glad I at least got the full exhaust and tune done before I met her, otherwise that wouldn't have happened)

I tried swapping FRS/BRZ clusters and cars don't start.

Ended up doing the swap in my BRZ OEM cluster, came out neat.

Those of you who have a spare cluster sitting around - is anyone able to scan the faceplate as well as the white backing face at 300dpi so we have accurate measurements on the dials?

Also, can anyone tell me what the size of the Speedo LED cutout (in the white backing mould) is? Wondering about using that to put an AFR or boost display into.
