Lia Block, Ken Block's daughter has been accepted by Williams for their F1 Academy. She recently took the American Rally Association (ARA) Open Two-Wheel Drive class title.

I think that's just registering with the FIA though. Doesn't mean F1 will take them does it? Unless I missed something they are still ignoring Andretti?

Ya, it looks complicated but I think the F1 management sees the partnership as good business for their expansion plans in the US.

“Andretti’s planned F1 team was approved by the FIA last month but is yet to agree commercial terms with Formula One Management.”

So we seem to be waiting for “Show me the money!”

They will compete against Ferrari, Mercedes, Honda, Audi, Renault and Red Bull-Ford.

What can we not like to that?

I kinda like that the competition includes Ford.
It reminds me of my father’s long-time love of GM or nothing else till some service on a oil pan gasket messed
up on his car loyalties.

He never did understand as to why to my car loyalty was to Hondas.

My friend who goes to Vegas a few times a year and knows I like F1 was asking if I was going to go when tickets first went on sale over a year ago I laughed in his face. He was super surprised until I started to tell him the prices for the other races.

So LV is putting on a better show than the racing it is hosting already.

Feel bad for Carlos getting a 10 spot grid penalty due to the track damaging a few cars.

Track 1 ferrari 0 :

For the fans as well that cough up some big bucks to support the race and venue just
to be kicked out of the stands before second practice because the security had to go home.
(is there not a plan for extended sessions?)

What no support races? What are the fans to do onsite, go gamble or get married as
Jacques V did in the paddock yesterday with the help of Elvis?

Glad I recorded it instead of waiting up...
But what the heck happened to TSN's coverage of P2? We got to see/hear about an hour of the 90 minute session. Four to five minute long commercials and after one the announcer said we will now move forward in our broadcast. The only thing I figure we missed was more talk about the rules.
