When I updated mine a few weeks ago it was really straight forward. Just plugged in my laptop while on my wifi at home and hit update. It shows you any before and after changes it will make but in my case there were none.

I just want my gas gauge to work, but if my cruise control and gear indicator works too then that is good.

I guess my concern was last time I tried to do an update, I feel like my car was not turning off accessories, and then my battery died, and when I finally reverted back, I think I realized that I had installed the new version, but I didn't port over all the maps, so it was basically brand new or something. Essentially, the custom tune was lost because the update erased everything because I didn't update things correctly. Luckily I had saved the custom tune, so I was able to get it back, but anyways, I just wanted a tutorial, so I don't mess things up.

I think the reason my vtec isn't working is due to not meeting the minimum oil pressure of 131 kpa. But without an oil pressure gauge I see no way of getting it working. Also not seeing a way to disable the minimum oil requirement.

I think it's pressure and temp dependent? Mine has worked just fine since update so I don't think that would be the reason.

Do you have an oil pressure gauge tied into the ecu? Car was definitely up to temp, and even verified that it was. Engine isn't low on oil either. I do have an oil pressure gauge, but it's an aem standalone gauge that isn't tied into the ecu, and it shows that I have great pressure.

I never had an issue on the ESP software, went ahead and finally made the switch to NSP with this update. Not sure if the fuel gauge is fixed yet, but definitely no vtec.

Oil pressure and temp both are through the Bosch sensor that Kpower provides. I haven't tinkered with any of the vtec stuff from the base map and it hasn't been effected by any update so far.

Well boys, it's finally happening.
The engine is nearly buttoned up, I just need to order a damper/pulley and modify the intake manifold (I guess the earlier ones weren't machined for the studs/bolts that attach it to the engine) I'll paint the valve cover once it's in for the last time.

I ordered most of the hard parts I need to get started; adapter/flywheel, mounts, coolant neck. This will allow me to get started fabbing the rest of the parts I need. I'm going to make a attempt at modifying the oil pan, I have a s2000 header to modify and an oem drivesahft to modify.

I also took my car to get a baseline, 190whp on E85 using the same correction nasa uses.

My VTEC works fine after the update. Strange that yours would suddenly stop working like that. You can check your oil pressure in the Haltech software to see what the Bosch sensor is reading.

I’m assuming you updated the new software with your old maps, right? This step is what I missed the first time. I assumed it would just all transfer over automatically.

As I've said, I do not have a Bosch oil pressure sensor tied into the haltech. So that's what I'm trying to confirm, if the new update basically requires me to have that sensor.

Yeah it's my map. I guess I just need to figure out how to downgrade to the previous firmware so that I can have my vtec back. I won't be able to purchase the Bosch sensor for a while.
