Fantastic build thread Steve! Alot of high quality well thought out mods here!
Glad we live in separate states as i find it inevitable our cars will end up looking similar.

I got the PS3's fitted to mine and they are phenomenal tyres. Mine are only 225's but the grip they provide is amazing, along with the resistance to aqua planing. I find them pretty quiet on the highway too. You'll love them.

ADR Approved Reverse LED's

Got a call from one of the consulting engineers who advise you of legalities of certain mods for Australian cars(so they adhere to the Australian Design Rules).
He said the only thing 'iffy' about my proposed modifications were the Colin TYC red tail lights and the reverse light on the Rocket Bunny diffuser.

Most modifications for cars have to comply with Vehicle Standards Bulletin 14(VSB 14)

Here are the ADR compliant reverse lights. These ones are actually better than the ones supplied by Greddy. The genuine ones are square base, this is an oval base.
The fit is perfect. For anyone with a Rocket Bunny diffuser this is THE REVERSE lamp to get! Part Number: 90814BL.
Price was ok too @ $22.99 for the light.

I didn't bother putting the chrome surround around it for two reasons.
1) Virtually unremovable once it's clipped in.
2) Chrome will stick out like a sore thumb when light is shone at it at night.

I had these installed yesterday by fellow 86 owner @sirus.

Ordered one of these for my car last night. Gonna white marker the MICHELIN name on the sides(one per wheel). Will look more race-car-ish.

Let me know how that works out, I'm wanting to do that on my tires to get a more racercar look. I've only heard it comes off fairly easily so I'm hesitant to use it. Amazing car though!

Haha no probs! We gotta get that 'third brake light' mod going on too! LOL

Edit: this is probably what I'll be doing. Not sure if I'll do the Michelin man though..

How does the Spec-L exhaust sound in person compared to video? It is the only exhaust for the 86 that doesn't sound like a Hyundai Excel with a 3 inch cannon.

@stevo_12v
It sounds GOOD with just the Spec-L.. but it sounds WAAAY better with the HKS 4-2-1 headers(my current setup). You can't help it but to DRIVE @ 4krpm and above all the time... just to listen to the exhaust note

There is NO drone at all(maybe a little bit at the warm up of a cold engine, but that goes away after the first 3mins)

I'm looking to get rid of the restriction in the overpipe with either a custom overpipe or the Motive overpipe.

TRD USA AirBox Ordered!!

Managed to find off ebay a seller that sells the new TRD USA Airbox.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/221206806495 "beachtoyota" is the seller with over 5k sales and 100% feedback.

Unfortunately they are unable to freight it out internationally so I got a little help from my good buddy and pro DIY article writer @F1point4 (Victor) to purchase for me on my behalf. He'll be shipping it out to me from where he is so I am able to get it!

He'll be taking some nice quality high resolution pictures of the TRD USA air filter too once he gets it!
