Well, officially voted over the weekend.
I've voted in every single election (local, federal, primary, runoff, etc) where I was eligible in the last 42 years, and this is the first time I voted absentee ballot. The 4 in our household (MomHawk, 2 sons and I) all filled out our ballots in secret and I dropped them off at the official drop-off location (no snail mail for us). Since I live in a precinct with a high turnout and typically long waits, I have to say the process was certainly easier and faster absentee, but it was not the same. I much preferred waiting in line with my fellow voters and seeing everyone participate in the process, playing the "I wonder how they'll vote" guessing game and running into folks I don't see that often. I'm going to go back to the old-fashioned way after this one I think.

I'll tell you what I did want to get a picture of. The guy who did the system had his two hot daughters digging holes in tight jeans and sport bras. I get out of the shower, put my robe on, and walked into the living room and looked out back to see the two of them jumping up and down on shovels. I look at my wife and she just says "nice huh?". |

So earlier this year when I was dealing with my misfiring issues I brought my car to the dealer and while they basically didn't do anything, they neglected to call any attention to the fact that my battery was basically nearly dead and leaking everywhere at that point. I was disappointed about that since the battery was already a warranty replacement that was < 2 years old (which is supposed to have a 2 year OEM replacement warranty on its own) and also because my powertrain warranty was about to expire.
So because they didn't resolve the issue, I ended up going to a shop here in San Jose, which did some of its own diagnostics on the tune-related stuff. But at the same time we ended up deciding to do an overhaul of the battery area because the battery had gotten so bad it had ruined the terminal and the other pieces around there. But because of that I was out hundreds of dollars for the new battery, new terminal, etc. + labor. Then randomly back in July I get a letter from Subaru USA. They decided that due to COVID this year, anybody with a warranty expiring in a certain period of months (IIRC January to April or something like that) would get a 3 month (and some number of miles, maybe 3 or 4 thousand over 36k) extension, and any work that had been done in that period was (pending their review) qualified for a reimbursement, even if it had been done at a different, non-Subaru shop. So I sent in the paperwork last month and was honestly unsure if it'd be legit. But sure enough I just got an email saying my reimbursement was approved and I'm getting that huge chunk of cash all back! I wasn't a huge Subaru fan after how the dealer guys treated me but Subaru USA at least just did me a huuuge solid and has won back a bunch of brownie points. Anyway somehow this turned into a Subaru loyalty ad, lol. But just pretty stoked to get that money back.

If you get dropped off in front of a fire station they have to to take care of you. Or is that for babies? I don't remember.

I'm pretty sure they'll take care of you either way. Doubt they'll just leave you sitting there, at least not after the second or third day.
