Pizza Guys

I know pizza guys get a lot of hate sometimes and generalized as driving riced out XYZ car. But personally I have a different view.

I love that they are into their cars, trying to make some money so they can modify it. They are working hard so they can afford to do something they love.

I just got delivery and the guy is driving a lowered IS300. I love that. That makes me reach in my pocket and give him a $20 tip. The guy driving a 20 year old stock corolla not so much.

I'm probably wrong, but what do you guys think?

If the pizza dude was delivering pizzas in a GTR would you have tipped him $50?

$3000 Mufflers for the GTR aren't cheap

While some people will tip extra or chit chat about cars if they see a pizza guy in a modified car I learned the hard way while working for papa johns that usually it brings a negative stigma. A lot of people tip less if they see you in a nicer , or modified car because they assume you're doing good as it is so a less than average tip isn't bad. But at the end of the day the amount of tip should be based on performance (which usually isn't the driver's fault but the instore employees ) . Just my $0.02

I remember once a Pizza guy delivered in a newer gen STi, I tipped him just as much as a person driving a beat down 89 rusting civic.

I'm more impressed by the guy driving the clean stock 20 year old Corolla than a wannabe drifter Lexus.

Either way, tip is defined by service, not what they drive. And I honestly can't tell you the last time I ordered a pizza for delivery, I'd rather drive myself, that's why I bought the damn car.

my buddy delivers pizza, and he either uses his z06 c5 corvette, or his 400whp srt-4. I joke with him that he is "literally" the fastest pizza delivery.

It hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm certain I would tip more if I can tell they are a "car guy"...and even more if they're a "car girl" lol
