Thanks for the reply. I researched it after posting. I didn’t know adding camber messed with toe.

Just want your guy's help.

I ordered Gram Lights 17×9 +38 with Eibach pro kit and some front camber bolts, my car is completely stock 86 2018.

I want to get 255/40 but would they fit on my mentioned setup without any issues or would I have issues? I like the look of the meaty tiers but not sure if they'll fit without having any issues rubbing, etc...

I saw some ppl running 255/40 R17 but it's either they're on stock or on coilovers.

Thanks in advance.

Good to see you pulled the trigger on some wheels! Lol good choice.

This gentleman is running 255/40 on 17 by 9 +38 on lowering springs with no issues. Here's one with a different offset with no issues either:

You should be fine bro.

I want to get 255/40 ...
One thing to double check after you install everything is the distance between the tire and the struts. Do this before driving, or you can destroy a tire in just one short drive. Some folks reported rubbing there with 17x9 +40 wheels and 245/40 tires. Might be fine with +38, but do check.

If that is indeed an issue, you may not be able to max out the camber, and then there is a chance that the camber bolts will slip under heavy use (track driving, bad potholes) and cause a tire to start rubbing.

Ya finally lol. Never thought picking a wheel will be so damn hard

I guess I'll get the 255/40 and hopefully they would work, coz I see on the first link that you posted the guy is running a spacer in the back.

Thanks again dude.

I wish I can test fit tiers but as you know once the tire is on it can't be changed and have to pay for it.

That's why I'm trying to avoid that. I'm still not 100% if they would fit. Maybe I will get the 240/40 just to be on the safe side, not sure yet.

Dude I change my wheels choice every week lol

And yeah that website is a great reference for fitment stuff. I think you’ll be fine with 255/40 but like @timurrrr said, double check everything to make sure you don’t ruin everything lol

I kept changing my mind about the wheels choice every 2 days lol.

Ya need to find someone with the same exact set-up tbh to be sure not to fuck up everything .

Thanks for all the help btw

Coilovers: Tein flex Z (at factory shipped height specs.)
LCA’s: SPC adjustable lower control arms
Rear Toe arms: SPC toe arms

I ended up needing rear toe arms to correct the toe as the factory specs didn’t allow me to. Just a heads up for anyone running this type of setup. The drop is approximately .8 inches all around, and there is no rubbing that has been noticed yet. Atleast none on full lock.

Shout out to @Leonardo, @Jive Turkey, @JoeC and @CSG Mike for being patient enough to work with me / help me understand.

I see you stated you needed those suspension parts to have this tire and wheel setup. Would this tire hit the stock suspension? Is that why u needed coilovers?

I've got:
18x9.5 +35 wheels
255/35/r18 Federal 595 RS-Pro tires. -2.3F -2R

The fronts poke out a smidge, but the rears rub on the fender lip when going over bumps. I'm likely needing to raise the car a hair and stiffen up the rear suspension.

Without doing a *Ton* of research, How are people getting the fronts to fit under the fenders with no poke?

Add more camber in the front. Try -3.0

Made it fit without -3. Will be adding in more camber though.

255/35/r18 Federal 595 RS-Pro
varrstoen es6 18x9.5 +35
Fortune Auto 500 Gen7 coilovers
Verus Engineering RLCAs

-2.4F/-2R. Will be going -3F/-2.4R soon.

I'm looking for the widest tire I can run on a 18x9.5 wheel and 18x10" wheel with offsets ranging from +40 to as low as a +25 without having insane camber (3+ deg) or having to roll fenders. I'm not opposed to a staggered setup as long as it doesn't completely throw off handling...my main goal is to get as much traction in the rear as possible to handle 400+wtq from my planned 2JZ swap.

Looking at the 'wheel it fit' I'm surprised a lot of the posts in this thread have been able to get a flush 10" wheel without insane camber and without the tires sticking out to a large degree. Does it need to be exactly flush? No, but most of the pictures in this thread are my goal, since they all have minimal poke.

I'm not too hung up on making the 10" wide wheels work unless 265 is the widest I should run on 9.5" and running a 285 on a 10" will make a good bit of difference via traction. I will probably have to go with a 9.5" width just due to the lack of 5x100 18x10" wheels I'm seeing.

As far as tires, it'll obviously depend on the wheel size and what tire specs you guys come up with, but right now I'm looking at RE-71R's or downgrading to Michelin Super Sports if running 285/35/18 (unless you guys have another extreme performance tire with those specs).

If you need more info to give a good suggestion/guidance, please let me know. Thanks!
