The dyno numbers make sense because it picked up a second from 0-60. IMHO

Its obvious that the new motor is way better. Thankfully they realized that a small increase in power wasn't going to cut it.

Hey @Dezoris,
thanks again for your awesome work. You mentioned the softness at the front of the BRZ and the lack of feeling at the rear, comparatively speaking to the GR86. The suspension 'numbers' indicate that its harder at the front and softer at the rear for the BRZ, which I thought would indicate things would be the other way around, if anything. How much do you think is tire related, and do you think a back to back from the same spec car is something you would do. Some of us want to see a really direct comparison before we choose this next car. Certainly for me I intend to keep it, so this initial stuff is import (I have deposits on both). |

I would be more open to believe it if the old car was an '12-'16 model which had issues with the tune, but it looks they were comparing it with a '20 (hakone) model. A 47 whp improvement could not be achieved in the old car even with a plain supercharger. Are we saying that the new NA engine is even better to a S/C engine?

By "plain" supercharger, I assume you mean an off the shelf kit with a relatively safe carb tune, yes? If that's the case, it's more like 240whp with the stock exhaust and carb tune (JRSC, Edelbrock). Which is about a 70-80 whp increase over a stock car; a significant bump in power imo. This new powerplant seems to bridge the gap between a stock FA20 and mild FI setup FA20, which is something a lot of us have wished for in the first place. |

Its probably not a scam. For what its worth on the toyota side all of the GR products so far have been under-reporting the numbers. I'm not an expert, but I'd also consider that some some of the tweaks to the car have reduced the loss a few percent as well? |

Im curious how much quieter it is than the first gen, he seems to be the only one who mentions that.
That and the pricing being practically identical to the first gen makes me wonder if i actually should have waited for the second gen...... |

Driving volume is slightly louder especially on the pilot sports, but not by much. The other part is the engine speaker. Turn the speaker off and run on base tires, it's pretty much the same.
