Was just about to ask the same question. Looks low for 93 octane.

It's a mustang Dyno which tend to read lower. Those numbers look decent for pump and just 93

Yeah GTX2860 on 93 octane. I'm AT so more drivetrain loss than MT

Should I go JDL Turbo Kit ?

Hello to all! As you can see, I am very interested in purchasing a JDL turbo kit for my car. I have been wanting to go FI for a while now, and really it's just down to SC or turbo. I like the idea of the Jackson supercharger, as it doesn't involve oil like a turbo setup, just rotrex fluid. But the drama of a turbo, and the sounds, and the UEL header on the JDL kit have me very enticed, yet I am unsure of the reliability. I am on a stock engine right now, only mods are Catless UEL, Catless front pipe, Greddy 3" catback. If I did purchase this kit, I would just go with the GT28R turbo (what is the maximum potential for this turbo?). I would do the "no cut" option for the intercooler piping (this means I keep stock crash bar correct?), the pre-welded oil pan. I would be happy to reach 270-290 whp with this setup. I would also do an oil cooler to keep temps down as it is hot summers where I live. How reliable is a setup like this on stock everything? Stock clutch, stock injectors, stock fuel pump, etc. Just an oil cooler and the turbo kit. The benefit to the supercharger is it seems to create slightly less heat and have less points for potential failure (if I'm correct), but the drama of the turbo, and the sound, is just surreal, I'm very in love with it, as I've had turbo cars before (but none were RWD). Looking to chat with those of you who have had experience with this turbo kit, good or bad. Interested in the longevity, the reliability, etc. I would hate to go supercharger, and then look back and wish that I went turbo. I would also hate to go turbo, run into failure, and wish I went the supercharger route.

It is my daily driver, 34k miles, I don't track the car, I just will be doing some spirited backroad driving every once in a while. I don't really beat on my cars but every now and then I will momentarily. I'd imagine I might a tad more for the first few weeks that I'm boosted.

Are these numbers easily attainable on 93 octane with this setup?
Is this setup just as reliable as a supercharger setup making the same power?
What power do you guys make? on what fuel? for how long? any issues ever? I want to hear it all.
I'm currently a sponge, new to this forum, ready to soak in all of the information, and I couldn't be more excited.

Thank you all

You honestly can't go wrong with JDL. Their fabrication is solid and their quality is top tier. I would go for at least GT2860 since it's ball bearing turbo and it'll have quicker response than the journal bearing GT28R. I believe the peak power for GT28R or GT2860 is around 350. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. And yes no cut option means you can keep your stock crash beam.

270-290 is easily reachable with 93 octane. The kit is very reliable as long as the installation is done correctly and tune is on point. Stock injector and fuel pump should be able to handle the power, but you'll need to upgrade them if you're going ethanol. I'm AT so I can't speak much for MT, but the word is that clutch upgrade is pretty much a necessity if you're going FI.

I've had my JDL kit since last November and I've had 0 issues so far. I have the dyno posted on the previous page so you can compare my stock number to turbo number. I'm running GTX2860 on 93 octane with 7 PSI. I'm hoping to start running ethanol later this year with flex fuel, ebcs and injector/pump upgrade.

What seems to be the typical wait times for these kits currently? Placed my order two weeks ago and was just curious when I could expect it to arrive

I think the wait time's around 4-5 weeks atm. They're pretty slammed with new orders and such.

Just be patient my guy lol. Boot will come in time for the summer. Just get things lined up on you're end while you wait. If you're doing it yourself get tools, fluids etc...

Clearance

So guys how much clearance is there? I know it should sit close to the stock fan, but has this ever actually caused any issues? I don’t want it to cause an issue then have to pull everything off the car to upgrade to a slim set.
Thanks guys

Hello! I am wondering has anyone installed their low mount option "kit". I saw it on their instagram, they provide you with most of the hot parts it looks like but you need to source the rest. Anyone on here go that route?

I second this. There's good clearance with the slim fans. I bet it hits stock fan shroud though. I have a gtx2860r

I've also come to ask about clearance. Does anyone with a 3076 have photos? I'm considering either UEL or EL based on clearance with this turbo.

EDIT:: I just noticed that the flange tilts away from the engine on the UEL variant ( unless my eyes are crazy). This is probably how it fits. In my test fitting, I was assuming the flange was flat or tilted TOWARDS the engine, in which case there'd be no way for it to fit without contacting either the pulleys/belts, or oil filter piece with this big of a compressor housing.
