Drove my FRS to work today. Cold, crisp air has been nice. Engine loves it. Did not crash.

Drove to my plant two hours away today. Put cruise on. Forgot it wasn't adaptive like I used all last week. Almost drove into the back of a truck. Remembered to manually slow down just in time. Did not crash.

Drove my FR-S today, had a close call with some dumb lady not knowing how to zipper merge because there was a bus stopped in front of her in the merge lane so she decides to cut me off.

Did not crash.

Ahh, Halloween: where the entitled Karens and Kevins and their little kids will dart out from behind a car, forcing me to hard brake, and then yell at me for driving too fast when I was doing less than 25 MPH.

Did not crash, but kind of annoyed at the audacity of some people.

Halloween: Delivery fr-s: not a single encounter with Karens and Kevins. Killed first in front of 30+ kids. All smiles. Followed by two cops thereafter. Not pulled over. Good day.

Edit: Gotta love that 1st gear in the auto only goes to 30.

You need to install a tennis ball on an extended ice hockey stick (can be any stick but I've used this as an example, Canadian stereotype...). This can be gaffer taped to the nose of your car... Great way of remembering that you have an "analogue" cruise controller...

Drove my FRS today.. first time after having it parked for about 3 weeks driving the work truck. Took it out for date night. The drive started off tame but i recall noticing how much more planted the car felt.. the feedback was instantaneous.. shifting through gears was glorious... immediately i had a smile on my face. We saw, you guessed it.. Ford v Ferrari. Great movie by the way! On the way home..the thirst was real. I was so glad i checked the torque on my lug nuts and my tire pressure. Made the wife wait 60 seconds for the oil to heat up. I stealthily cruise through the parking lot and gun it towards the onramp. Keep the revs right where the car wants em you guys know where it is. Booted it on the ramp, the curves felt as good as any womans.. by the time i was merging i was already going faster than any traffic. No time to look down though, I'm in the zone baby. I got a wide open stretch of highway in front of me at 1am, just a couple cars.. the slower one obviously in the left lane. Shifting through gears like a madman revving it right to the red line. The old italian' tune up. Look down and see im going 200... wife is screaming and complaining.. i step on it a little more because she hasn't had exercise.. 210... exit is coming up so i let off the gas.. heart is pumping but i had a shit'eatin grin on my face. Wife is still complaining. I coast into the off ramp without the breaks... tunnel is part of it so obviously time to downshift. Reminded me of why i'm so happy i invested in that corsa exhaust. begin to merge into regular road. Made it home but wife still complaining. Didn't crash. Love this little sports car

Well, I drove my FR-S today to do two errands and had two close calls.

The first one was when I was entering the drive up window of the pharmacy, coming from the wrong direction and swung around to line up my car in the right direction. Yep, my tire rim missed the curb along side the building, but my front clip didn't. I guess it sticks out further than the tire when making a turn -

OK, on to the post office. NEVER go to the post office two days before Christmas! I pulled into a parking space where the line of parking spaces made a "T". When I was about to back out, a car was backing into the space next to me on my left (one variable). Then as I was easing out (the second variable) a car that was parked perpendicular to me, backup lights came on as I was just behind it (the third variable). THEN, as I continued back, another car pulled up behind me (the fourth variable) and laid on the horn.

Some famous smart guy once said that the human mind cannot handle more than three (maybe four) variables at one time.

AND I WAS BACKING UP! -

No, I did not crash (except for skinning up my front clip - again).

Well done!! What a crazy world of motoring and not once did you mention the requirement for a nap!! You feeling alright, so close to Xmas?

BTW, technically isn't 'skinning up' an accident!! Sounds like it!
