Why is this forum called FT86 club?
According to the wiki page, the Toyota 86 (FRS) is only referred as FT86 in Nicaragua and Jamaica.... which is weird since most of this forum's demographic is neither of those places. Maybe some inside joke or what?

Now that I see that and look at it it would look pretty sweet as a Batmobile.

I think the Toyobaru is one of the rare occasions that the production model came out better than the concept. The concept front wheel wells are a little too RX-8 and the back end is a little too Z-car. I think they really dialed it in for what we got.

Another one. Hm... maybe I need to type up some history of this forum and the name.
...but first, I need to go through 2,455 photos of 86EXPO from last week. AFTER that, I'll work on it lol Anyways, like some member stated, forum started in Oct '09. Year concept design came out (in TIAS). Concept name was FT-86 Concept. That's where we got this forum name from. Admin and several mods went through few debate to change the name or keep it. BUT I've beg em to keep it "FT86", to remember where we started. That's short ver. Hope that answer OP's question. |
