A01D B01D
My calibration is A01D. What is the difference between A01D and B01D? Is there a way to change my calibration ID to B01D?

I believe B01D is a newer revision of the map. You can flash the map to your car if you have tuning software. What are you using to tune/flash, and why do you want to change?
I think B01D is just cam/idle improvements. |

As above B01D is a factory update calod for A01D.
It might be possible to get dealer to fash it but they will ikely charge now car is out of warantee You could use tactrix cavle to flash, see link below in my signiture ive got those calid roms attached to my tactrix post as well |

This is what I was looking for thank you. I just wasn’t sure if the B01D is the update to A01D. My car is having idling issues and throwing P000B, P0017, and P0014. It might be a cam gear issue, but should I try to have the dealer flash my ecu to B01D? I’m planning to have the camgears changed out if they are actually causing the problem, but I’ll be having it done by a third party since the car is out of warranty. Dealer should have file to update to B01D it was part of the TSB for cam issues.
If your car was tuned it may have already been updated |

Although it shows A01D internally its a different updated rom If its v2 tune will be B01D if its V4 its A01I Open you tune with notebook, it will be jibberish, but search for ZA1J You will find 3 occurrancesof calid tell me what they are |

I understand what you’re saying now. I have used the v2.076 tune and the v4 tunes. Both threw the P000B, P0014, and P0017. I am thinking I have an issue with the actual cam stuff. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He'd like for you to right click your tune file, select " open with" and go to the "Notepad" application. From there, press control and F (opens a 'find' window) and search for ZA1J. Anything that comes up ( 3 objects that also have CALID in front of them) he would like you to post in your reply to him here.

Okay. v2.076 showed 3 which were A01D, A01D, and B01D. I understood what he said in his previous post which is why I said it is probably a mechanical issue with the cam gear, not software related. If I am missin something else here, I apologize for the ignorance |

Ok in oft tunes the first two calid are often a hack and the third is the real calid. In unhacked roms all three calid same In this case a v2 oft A01D tune is actually a B01D tom\tune, jist hacked to look like a A01D so oft will load tune. So you already have effectivly a B01D. If you move to v4 you will fing its actually A01I rom hacked to be A01D. Both these roms B01D or A01I have all the cam fixes. Which means unfortunalty you have a hardware issue with the sensors oil control vavles cam sprockets or even the ecu hardware. In the TSB section theirx are some usefull TSB for diagnosing the issue |
